  1. I just got back from my local gun store and I was checking out the M4 and the finish looks a little different. It's the same color, but it looks to be more glossy. Looks pretty sweet!

  2. love the 1911s. as you already know I am just looking for my first!

who made you the punisher grips? very cool specialy on the kimber. Goes very good together

Thanks and I have Larry make my grips

Is that an 11707? It interests me that it has a fixed stock yet is stamped LE.

I believe it's the 11721. I'm the second owner so either the original owner or the gun shop must've replaced the stock. The recoil tube also appears to be the correct tube being that it's a L.E. version.

    Nice collection!

How do you like the Gen 4 compared to the Gen 3? I need to replace my CCW (2010 Gen 3 G19 w/oem Trijicons).

Thanks! I love the Gen 4. I don't think I would ever get a Gen 3 again. I do need night sights though.

  3. Hi all

Ive decided not to get a after-market full length ext tube due to warranty conflict issues so now im in the market for a +2 Mag extension tube. any thoughts on this. There is a +2 available on gunbroker by benelli (expensive), there is dave's metal works, there's one from carrier comp (expensive). If anyone has used one id love some feed back.

I have no experience with them, but Carrier Comp has a lot of great reviews and the quality of his products are 2nd to none. I would go with Carrier Comp products!

  4. Magpul MS3 with a QD attachment point at the single point attachment, converts quickly to 2 point (MS3 sling has locks on the hooks, pretty handy).

Single point attachment point, Mesa Tactical QD pocket, 91330 Push-button Sling Swivel for Benelli M1014 -

Magpul RSA for the forward 2nd sling attachment, attached to a CDM BMT mount

SWEET!! I appreciate it very much.

  5. Meprolite is the only game in town for tritium sights for the M4/M1014.

Ok, good to know and thanks for the PM. Will the nut come with it or would I have to buy that separately? Also I can't seem to order them on Ballistics site. Maybe its a call in only site.

  6. I see Ballistic Reload has them for cheap and the stock ones on my gun are painted and have to be charged with a flash light. Are the Meprolights Tritiums good? I'm gonna guess yes since my 1911's came with them, but I could be wrong. Thoughts? If its good to go through that site I will order them now or if there are any other sites that have a better price or product please post it.

  7. In my experience, I like the urbino... but the FFT forend isn't a perfect fit and is harder to get it on, than the stock forend. I use it solely because it matches the color of the stock, as I have purchased mine in tan.

That looks great! The tan and OD green that timer00 has look really good.

  8. What slings are you guys using on your M4 with the standard pistol grip stock? Can you guys also post pics on how it's set up? I wanted to go the 2 point route. It seems that the sling loop on the front and rear are low profile so they won't actually take a sling that you clip on there. The sling I wanted originally is the one that carries 15 or so shells on there AND I know for some it's not practical and its to heavy when there is shells on there, but in the event where SHTF or "ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE" happens will certainly be practical.

I have the same sling on my 930 SPX and I don't put shells on the sling while at the range. In my opinion its great to have that option if needed though. Basically, I wanted to see how everyones M4 is set up with a sling to give me some ideas on what route to go. I did a search, but didn't really come up on what I was looking for.

  9. In comparison to the OEM stock it is a better quality especially with the limbsaver pad which just completes it if you ask me. You can just get the standard end which isn't as cushy as the limbsaver pad thats a matter of preference I guess. As "Case" mentioned its feels so much better to shoulder and handle.

Yesterday I shot 25 (7 1/2 Bird) 15 (2 3/4 Buck) 15 (2 3/4 Slugs) and 20 (00 3" Magnum) and had little or no shoulder pain and I am only 160lbs. I think the limbsaver pad does do a pretty good job in my opinion.

I was referring to the forend (hand guards) not the stock, but I appreciate the review and I'm almost 100% sure I'll get one.

  10. It indeed looks like an 11721, however, as far as I am aware, those do not have fixed chokes. Can you take a picture of the end of the barrel to verify? I am very interested in seeing this, if it does indeed, as that is part of why I bought my M1014.

I forgot to update the thread, but yes I'm certain that it is not a fixed choke. Is the spread of the M1014 different to those with the non fixed chokes? I'm guessing you can't buy brand new M1014's anymore huh? If you still want some pics I'll take some for you just let me know what angles etc.

I would like to see a pic of the sticker on the end of the box- I am curious as to rather it is really an 11721 as I was not aware that they were stamped L.E... I wonder if the original owner had that done?

As paladinjme said I do not have the original box. I tried to contact the original owner and I got a call from the gun store where I bought my M4 and they told me the guy was extremely upset with them because his info was on the deal of sale paper. They told me he was a retired LEO who is obviously paranoid. It sucks because I really wanted to know the history of this shotgun and to see if he still had the original box and everything else that came with it. I guess some people just don't want to be contacted...

OP does not have the original box - bought used - he did indicate to me in a PM that it does have a screw in choke.

  11. I love the limbsaver pad and the shorter LOP... My stock loosened once since I didn't screw it too tight, but since I cranked it down some extra and through 75 rounds of 00 buck and slugs has not gone anywhere. We'll see after many more rounds yet.

How do you like your forend? Does it feel like a better quality made part compared to the stock one? Thinking about getting one

  12. Probably for aesthetic preference. I personally like the way the cheek riser looks, but if he's never going to use optics on his M4 and he likes the way it looks... well too each their own :D

DING DING!!! We have a winner folks.

  13. You can buy with or without cheek riser as said above.. But if you buy the non cheek riser stock first you won't be able to use the riser after the fact because the stock comes with rails for the riser only when you buy the stock with cheek riser option.

Yes, I know. I'm not fond of the cheek riser and I'll never put any kind of optics on it so I have to use for it. What site did you order your stock from?
