Bully, those are the best prices I've seen. I wonder how much ammo cost before all this bs? At these rates if you shoot a bad guy you need to sue him to recover your costs for ammo. A buck a round. SMH KB, I just paid 27.99 for the same round but if I had to have it shipped out here it would cost the same as my local costs.

What are you guys paying for 00 buck? Seems local prices are $5.99 for a 5 pack and $27.99 for 25. Is that close to what the masses are paying?

It was definitely the ammo. Confession: I bought some cheap stuff to run through for sighting and that was causing the problem. I literally had to eject each casing individually. I kept reading you could run anything through these things. Ran the high brass through and she shot like a charm. Still going to keep her oiled up for the break in. I need to hit the range about three more times to get more familiar with this one. I will say she's sweet and not brutal on the shoulder like a lot of shot guns. Thanks guys

Ok, lubed up the bolt and guts and ran the bolt a few times and already it feels a little smoother. I'll do that once again and then again when I hit the range I'll keep it wet. Hopefully that will do it. Any good universal cleaning kits for an AR 15, M4 and the Springfield Armory xdm 45?

KB Fab, wil try it. Cal and BM, I'll reseat the screws but wouldn't the tongue of the barrel prevent it from contacting the bolt? I pulled the bolt and no scratches btw.

I finally finished my M4 build and have a question. First, the final configuration consists of: 1) GG&G oversized bolt release and charging handle 2) Carrier Comp 7+ magazine 3) Sidearmor extended short rail with 6 round holder 4) Surefire M80 foreend and rubber rail covers 5) Magpul angled foregrip 6) Aimpoint Pro optic 7) Collapsible stock 8) Biles Sling 9) Streamlight Protac Flashlight When I went to the range to sight in everything worked fine for the first 20 shots or so then it failed to extract the cartridges. I took it home and oiled it up, went back and it shot well again until I hit 20 or so shots then the same thing happened. I was using 2 3/4 winchester high brass ammo. Has anyone else run across this problem and if so what was the solution? I lightly oiled the bolt so should I make it sloppy wet for break in? Btw, I tried the Magpul XTM enhanced rail covers and they literally popped off as I started shooting. Went with the Surefire rubber and they were fine. Update: I went by the shop I purchased my M4 from and they are stocked with supplies. They have one M4 in stock (LE edition) for $1859.00 if anyone is looking for that model. Looks like the run is ending. They also have Magpul AR mags (30 rds) for $19.95 if anyone still needs those. They're only selling 1 per customer. The place is Autrey's Armory in Fayetteville Ga 770-719-2454. The thing I liked about them is they weren't gouging when everyone else was. Hope it helps someone out there.

Thinking of taking off the Elzetta flashlight holder/sling mount and going with a Viridian X5L light/laser combo. I can use the light and sling on the Daniel Defense AR-15 thats coming in 2 weeks. Also, I'm waiting on Midway(if you know where I can get one NOW I'd appreciate it) to find a Geissele hammer, they're saying it will take as long as another month. When that comes in I'll have the CC mag, GG&G bolt release pad and the hammer put on at the same time. The hammer is just for 922 ® compliance. The aimpoint pro will go on the DD also. It's just on there for this picture. I love the Surefire M80 and the Sidearmor rail and carrier. Here are a few pictures.

There's no Gander in Atlanta but I called 3 in Alabama and one in South Georgia and neither had any. I'll try again on Thursday when they say the trucks come in. I'll also try some local shops. Things can still be had but you have to work hard to find them. I had ordered a Surefire forend from Opticsplanet that was on backorder until March. Re-checked Amazon and they had just got a load so cancelled OP and ordered from Amazon. A lot of moving parts but it can be done. Somewhere out there is 3 magazines with my name on it. LOL

First, thanks for the lead M4DC. However, that is a lot of money for some rounds. The government couldn't afford to go to war at those prices and we know how wasteful they can be. I'll look around for less expensive ammo and if I find any I'll pass on the info. At $900 bux a hand job should be included, at the least.

I've been watching Gunbroker and Gunsamerica over the last 12 months and have started noticing the prices coming back down to earth. Has anyone else noticed lower prices and less demand for M4's. I just saw a Benelli M4 go unpurchased at $1949 on gunbroker. I lucked up and walked into a local shop and he had M4's available for $1699. I snapped one up and under the current environment I don't feel to bad. Walked into another shop and picked up a Springfield Armory XDM 45 with 13+1 at $150 less than I expected to pay on Budsgunshop. I also ordered a Daniel Defense DDM4 V3 from the builder and it should be here in 4 weeks so I'm getting some items knocked off my wish list. The price wasn't to bad. From overseas it seemed like I wouldn't be able to get anything at a decent price but now that I'm back home it's not that bad. Is the rush/lunacy over?
