  1. I called Brain at Savvy Sniper (http://www.savvysniper.com) and sent him the same picture of the "ring with the hole". He put a Mid West Industries clamp that fits that ring and sewed it on the end of a sling he made for me. He also customized the end of the sling with a standard clip on end which is hidden under a small sleeve so I can change the sling out quickly and easily to my AK or AR. Very cool idea. I can send pics if you like. Tony
  2. Thanks for the heads up on this. Very inexpensive way to put a light on the barrel. Foolishly I got a new Super Nova weeks ago and added the $179 rail from Sidearmor added an expensive scope, crazy light with a laser, 4 shell carrier and hated my gun. It was so heavy, lop sided and unbalanced. I have been shooting with iron sights on a shot gun for 30 years what was I thinking. I got caught up in the "zombie madness". Ha!! Shipped all the stuff back and got my money refunded so now I'm buying more ammo. Basics are better, lesson learned. Rock on old school gunners. Ha!!
  3. Right now for what I'm doing I am shooting with the front iron site the way I was taught 35+ years ago. Shot a lot of birds back in the day, with a bolt action, 3 shell chamber and a simple fixed front site. I think I am getting a scope for slugs beyond 40+ yards I am sure this will work. Thanks for the ghost ring idea I'll see if that work on my present sent up.
  4. Thanks for the IPA web links. This was a great heads up. The distributor in the NE for their products is a company in CT called PSI (http://www.precisionsalesintl.com/Product/Sight_Product_home.html) and due to the shooting in CT they are back ordered on everything. As a matter of fact I tried LaRue Tactical and they said by email I sent them, they are back ordered on most of their inventory as well. Hey you gun guys are sure buying up some gear these days. Ha!! As a matter of fact my Am Ex bill this month shows I am right there with you all. God Bless America. Thanks again.
  5. Thanks this is a good first step. It look like I need to call them to see what will fit my set-up. Thanks for the help.
  6. I just purchased a Super Nova Tactical with a Pistol Grip. It came with a set of "basic" iron sites not the ghost ring sights that are on the other models. I installed a set of rails on the top of the gun to attach a light and a 4 shell sleeve on the side of the rail, which now covers the rear iron site. I can purchase a flip down MagPul ghost ring and put it on the rail in the rear. Will the fixed site in the front work with that set-up? It seems like the front fixed site might be to low for that type of set-up. I need a both a front and rear ghost ring to make this work correctly, right? Has anyone found another way to do this after putting a set of rails on the top of this model gun? I could add a scope but this seems like "over kill". Any suggestions on getting a set of sites on the gun? Thanks
  7. Someone in another forum suggest these rails. I just order this, I guess you can mount whatever you want on your gun. http://www.sidearmor.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=46_49&products_id=62
  8. Just started using a shot gun again after a 25 year break. I have a 12 gauge super nova. Some basics on cleaning: Clean the gun after each time I use it? Is a bore snake good enough? Should I use a cleaning brush after each time I use the gun? Sorry this is not some far out advanced technical thread but the basics are important, right? Thanks
  9. Just bought a super nova tactical with fixed bore. Has anyone shot the new 12 gauge winchester PDX-1 shells with this gun safely? Since it had a slug in it I was not sure if my barrel was the right fit. I am using the 1 1/4 oz Green Lighting Slug by Brenneke which was recommended by the gun shop where I purchased the gun. I emailed Benelli 3 days ago no answer yet. [h=1]Thanks[/h]
