  1. I drilled, threaded and installed a picatinny rail on the top of the receiver of my Remington 870. I installed this MESA Tactical rail and in the description it talks about being a drop in fit for the Benelli M2 as well as the M2 Tactical. I think you're good to go with any M2 Tactical compatible rail if you don't want the MESA Tactical part.

I bought this thread tap and this drill bit. A lot of people recommend buying multiple thread taps if you break one, but you really do not need more than one. Just tap nice and easy, use lube and often back the tap out and clean it. If you do that for each hole you will not have any issues.

  2. That's strange. All I can think of is to be absolutely sure it is assembled properly to begin with. If it isn't, the parts would become loose real quick. I presume you do have it assembled properly. If you don't, it would be pretty obvious. I would probably visit the vendor, show them what's going on and maybe they'll swap it for another one. The sooner you do this the better. If it shakes loose with stock parts then there's an issue and you shouldn't have to figure it out or buy aftermarket parts to correct the issue.

  3. I've been running a factory C-Stock at the middle "setting" (approx. 12" LOP) for a while now and have always thought the cheek weld was ho-hum. While I do have an OEM Field stock and OEM PG stock (LOP is too long for me on those two) I've never had an Urbino stock. It at least appears to work OK in some video reviews back from when it was first released, but in nearly all cases it seems to have been bought as a budget substitute for a C-Stock at the middle setting and was replacing a OEM PG stock...NOT as a replacement for a OEM C-Stock.

For those who have owned and used both the C-Stock and Urbino, preferably with a RDS such as an Aimpoint Micro, is there a general preference for the Urbino over the C-Stock?

If buying an Urbino, I'd likely get the model with the LimbSaver and cheek riser (set in its lowest height setting).

    Thoughts? Current setup is below:

calviroman, which QD sling swivel mount is that? Looks like it also serves as a light mount? I've never seen one like that before.

  4. I bought mine from FFT and it is very very nice and just as I had expected. After examining my full length tube closely ... I cannot imagine how anyone could make one nicer. I'm not saying anyone else is wrong, I'm just saying I have never seen a CC tube in person to compare. I did consider waiting for a CC tube, but didn't see the point of waiting so long when FFT ships theirs out immediately. I saw pics online comparing them side by side, but still saw nothing worth such a long wait. Many report receiving a tax stamp quicker. I did like the thought of getting a titanium tube so that's what I went with and I'm very glad I did.

I don't think you'll go wrong with whatever you choose! You'll love your M4.
