  1. I have already seen desperate people offering 800-1000$ for one unit on some other places. It is pretty ridiculous. If you didn't preorder from last year you are pretty much not getting one for less than MSRP in 2022.

Contrary to what I read online, the plastic pieces did not melt when heating to remove the threadlocker (I bought replacements just in case as they were relatively inexpensive.)  I like the full tube better - the extension made removing the barrel more of a hassle plus the look is a lot cleaner.

You gotta keep in the mind the M3 has been around for more than 3 decades. What didn't apply to you is definitely applicable to the older M3s. A super old H&K I had to service had different plastic than a newer one I had. Melted fairly quick because I had to blast more heat on it remove 25+ year old thread locker. Basically I use a blanket statement when I talk about the M3 because there hasn't be a good way to identify the numerous variants of the M3.

Sorta like how the M4 and M1014 get confused with naming. Or a Cerakote and H2O version.

  3. I usually use the magazine springs that are included with the kits. Otherwise just estimate about 1 foot/300mm longer than the magazine tube. I have a mix mash of brands from Remington, Wolff, Benelli, and Beretta springs in my guns. I honestly couldn't you tell the difference apart from Wolff is shiny.

  4. There are many variants of the stock. Some fit on 1301s, some fit on M1014s, 870s etc., but they all look the same at a glance. I'm guessing you bought the wrong one.

That gap is basically the difference between a steel collapsible buffer tube and one with a aluminum buffer tube. Otherwise looks like you found a work around.

I am just curious what the purpose is of reducing weight.  To me, more weight helps with recoil.

I like a heavier gun as well; but I'm not carrying it around it all day long. Easier to swing and point on a lighter gun to be honest.

Speaking of the Acro P-2, anyone seen one available lately?  I don't think I've seen them in stock since the summer.  That was Brownell's and the price wasn't great.

A small batch was shipped out in the tail end of December.

I have 2 on order with no updates. Got the mounts already in.

  7. If you look closely, you can see the body isn't machined much. So most likely, it is forged, then the mount surface and holes are machined and threaded, and then tumbled/laser etched/anodized/assembled. Whereas the other optics are completely machined.

So reviews from the big youtubers will probably be uploaded soon. Wait and see if it will be a hit or flop like the ACRO P-1.

  8. So LE discount is 449$ for the Duty RDS ?.

Battery life is underwhelming but the trade off is the lower price. Think of how many batteries you would need to offset the difference in price to a T-2.

With the ACRO just dropping & M5 using The lens geometry and technology from the T-2 a T-3 might be some time off.

New Duty RDS. For a rifle, but you can see they are going to a flush adjustment and keypad like from the ACRO P-2. Looks like it can take a T-2 low mount?
