I am using Aimpoint. I also am using Surefire scout lights due to their impact buffers. Shotguns are absolutely brutal. Ive torture tested most things with full power buck, and have had to alter how I would normally do things on an AR, for these gauges. I use IWC light mounts. Torque to 30 in lb, and use Loctite 243. I torque the mount to scout body to 20 in lb, using loctite 243. The scalarworks to T2 interface gets NO locker except what nylok is on the SW screws, on  account of the T2 using helicoil inserts. The SW to receiver juncture, I torque to 15 in lb, and avain use loctite 243. I de-grease all male and female threads with acetone, and apply loctite to the female threads instead of the male. This is because the first 2 to 4 threads on the tip of the bolt are what do the lion's share of the work. When you loctite the male threads, these are typically wiped near clean of threadlocker dhring the threading process by the time the bolt is seated and tight. I wipe off the excess and allow full 24 hour cure time. This keeps my stuff from rattling off when I run it hard with full power stuff for hundreds of rounds per day.

Ive seen enough stuff fall off guns in 5.56 carbine courses. I KNOW there are plenty of gauges out there with stuff just hanging on by a prayer, lol!

Another thing to note, you actually void the warranty on the T-2 if you use thread locker with it.

  2. Yeah they are! Been waiting forever for their T-2s to come in but kenziesoptics.com had a comparable deal going this weekend. Finally got a T-2.. feels great in the middle stock position. May just forget about getting a scalarworks sync and keep it as is.

I had an LE discount available so picked one up with the mount.

I dig it. But for T3 Micro I would like to see turret adjustment without caps. Perhaps flush like the Aimpoint ACRO or Trijicon SRO. Don't change mounts.

How much is a LE discount for the t2? I already pulled the trigger on one after trying a RMR.. not a fan.

Good to know about the screws.  I'm more curious how the recessed part of the QD fits.  Does it insert fully/flush into the slot?

I was under the impression that this was the piece that's giving everyone fitment issues.

I'm just looking at pictures and thinking about how it fits.  So my apologies if I'm talking out of my behind.

I assumed it was the screws. The recessed part does not fully insert into my stock. It's fully secure though and sits flush with the cheek rest. I could possibly fully insert if it was more in the middle? Not sure.. I got it in place and it works so don't want to mess with it haha. I just copied SD's set up and put the QD mount high on the stock.

I'm wondering what SD's experience has been with these.  Is there some fitment wizzardry to this part?

For those that have been successful, are you installing the parts and letting the torque from the bolts pull the QD into the slot?

Or, do the parts fit and clear the slot as one would hope?  It seems like the BFG Uloop would be a great alternative.

Mine was a perfect fit. No forcing needed. 11715 model.
