Thanks for the update and I appreciate the measurements.

I just did a quick search and came up with this. I can't vouch for the quality, but the image is what I would be looking for if I was in the market for what you're describing. https://cerusgear.com/collections/gun-cleaning-mat/products/benelli-m4-schematic-gun-mat?variant=40770120614038

I found that the IWC rear sling QD which is *supposed* to fit through the sling slot, doesn't fit without modification, so I recommend checking out this product from a user on this forum: @RxArms https://rxarms.com/products/benelli-m4-parts-and-accessories/benelli-m4-qd-sling-mount-collapsible-stock/

I recently picked up a new m4 entry, and compared to my other m4, the bolt face seems to have some pitting/chipping/bubbling already? I called Benelli and they said this is normal, but I'm a little skeptical considering it's not as clean as my other bolt with more rounds through it already. It's not easily caught on camera, but you'll see the spots near the firing pin hole at 1 o'clock and two at 3:30 o'clock. I noticed it before I test fired it (although it was definitely test fired at the factory), and it functioned just fine when I tested it after a cleaning, so I know for sure that I didn't cause this. I'm not too worried about it, but considering that my other doesn't have this, I figured I'd ask here.

M4 entry aftermarket barrel or bite the bullet on the real deal?
CharlesAFerg replied to filthy phil's topic in Benelli
I recently bought one on Botach. They still have upgraded models available for a decent price. With the NFA and transfer fees it was expensive but not much more than a full-capacity, collapsing stock 18.5 M4. At this point, you can then buy the 18.5" barrel if you want. It's much easier and cheaper to go this way. Also, you don't need to engrave. People forget about that part. -
This is a great post, because it gives me a chance to share my experience with these on my M4. I have a 11715, with a collapsing stock, and an eotech that sits slightly lower. (XPS vs the EXPS shown here) I've found that Eotechs work really well in a few specific situations - when you wear armor or just want a shorter length of pull. As you said, the sight sits really high (too high, especially the EXPS) when used from the fully extended stock length, similar to your fixed stock. However, due to the way that the stock extends at an angle, if you only extend the stock to a notch or two back, the optic sits just right. So if I could make a recommendation to anyone looking to reproduce a similar setup, buy the XPS because the added height with the EXPS can make or break it's usability for you. Here are some photos for reference. Notice how the further the stock is extended, the lower your cheek will be in relation to the optic. Sure, it's great for the irons, but the Eotech sits higher. Originally I wanted to mount a t2 to a fancy lower 1/3rd co-witness mount, but then I wouldn't be able to shoulder it with the stock in a very short position and still have a perfect sight picture. Anyway, I hope this someone in the future.

Does anyone have any examples of how you've configured the wiring on your m4 with a pressure pad? I have a surefire scout mounted on an iwc scout mount, and will have a new tail cap to accept my pressure pad soon. (velcro type.) Wondering if anyone has any preferences, or better yet, photos of how they routed the wires and why. I have a general idea but figured I'd check here first in case someone had a really slick setup. Current thinking I'll adhere the velcro to the opposite side handguard panel, and run the wire between the mag tube and the barrel? Unsure. Thanks

I'm also looking for just a rail section. 😓

For basically the same price I'm super happy with my Pelican a year later and I've used it for not only a Benelli but a mk12 traveling by air as well. Highly recommend it!

What a great collection!

Idk man, but that's like asking the Porsche dealership about how to fix your lada. Maybe there's a Panzer forum?

I'm looking to buy one of these for an M4, and was wondering if the following info was correct for the M1014: TAMCN E1761 NSN 1005014723147 I'm most interested in the TAMCN because I can't actually find it listed anywhere. Here's the product link: https://carolinalaserworks.ecwid.com/Benelli-M4-UID-36mm-X-18mm-p148637310 Thanks!

I was torn between the 1700 & 1720, and the 1700 was the only one that fit into the trunk of both cars I needed it to fit inside. Also, the 1700 won't fit some ARs unless the receivers are separated. I don't have an issue with this, and I also bought receiver covers for this reason, but just keep this in mind. Be warned that the 1700 is quite heavy, even without anything in it. Surprisingly so. Good luck! (Receiver cover mentioned earlier) https://rcsgear.com/topstop-ar-upper-receiver-cover

The 1750 is overkill. The 1720 is still manageable if you're really worried about it, but tbh the 1700 is max size for air travel without insane fees and it actually fits in my cars (anything larger won't) and stores at home easily. The 1750 is just gigantic and probably weights a ton more.

Anyone selling a IWC buttstock mount for the M4?
CharlesAFerg replied to Brandon101884's topic in Benelli
FWIW I ordered from them, and while the site *says* they are in stock, they are indeed backordered. I spoke with the customer service lady and mounts plus and she doesn't know when they'll be produced again, and told me that she's been in contact with the former IWC owner's wife. So, again, don't order from there unless you genuinely don't mind waiting. They don't seem to have them in stock and won't have them in stock any sooner than the actual IWC site if that ever reopens again. (It's been at least 3 months now) -
Thanks! The way I see it, the shotgun is robust enough not to worry too much, and if it barely fits, great - I'll just give it room at the muzzle and let the recoil pad hit the side. I'll be buying some replacement foam and cutting for different configurations. It can serve multiple weapons without having to buy more cases. I'll also be carrying an ar15 in it with the upper/lower receivers separated. The only downside is that It's a *surprisingly* heavy case, but it seems like it does the job I need it to do - Protect and contain the firearm & accessories.

Angled to match the stock, with a bias towards the butt pad closer to the side of the case because, well, it's a butt pad. I wouldn't say it's comfortable but it's definitely possible. Probably more so if you angled it completely from corner to corner. So, FWIW this will fit a collapsed M4 and you won't have to pay extra airline fees because the 1700 is just within the limits for large bags for air travel. (62 linear inches) @bigoo7e

Well, I ordered it. I'll post pics when I get it for anyone else to reference. If I can't use it for the M4, I can use it for something else. 🤷♂️

Does anyone here happen to have a Pelican 1700 case they could place their M4 w/ collapsible stock in to test fitment? I am considering a case and the 1700 size fits my application best, and the size looks to be very, very close. If you wouldn't mind posting some photos, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
