1. Hi all, I had a request to do a detailed pictorial on the disassembly of the Shell Stop. Removal of the Shell Stop is the same for the factory and GG&G model. In fact, the GG&G model is simply a modified factory Shell Stop. Start out by unloading the weapon and setting the ammuntion away from the work area. Field strip the M4, remove the barrel assembly, bolt carrier and trigger group. The stock may be left on. This is a view of the inside of the receiver. It shows the placement of the Shell Stop Spring. The spring is a loose fit, so you should note its position before disassembly.
2. Hi All: Rumaging around on the Internet for these manuals is kind of a pain, so I'm linking them to this forum from my Google Drive. These links should be good forever, unless Google goes under or the Internet disappears: USMC Technical Manual (TM 10698A-10/1): Operator's Manual for Shotgun, Combat, 12 Guage Semi-Automatic M1014 1005-01-472-3147 November 2000 18410698000: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxN5CusgXy6nbm1udXh5dzYyYUU Benelli M4 Product Manual M4 (comes with the shotgun): https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxN5CusgXy6nNmlRcGxjWEpOaXM ENJOY!
3. I recently acquired a Promag M4 collapsing stock and it seems like the retaining pin is a common point of failure on these. I have seen other posts here mention replacing the pin but I am unsure how to access the pin. Has anyone done this before? Pictures or parts guides would be greatly appreciated.
4. Since my last post was very informative, I figured I'd make one for parts and for 922r compliance. I'll start by first sharing the information I received via an email from the ATF. With that out of the way, I would like to know what are the best US made parts to get for upgrading a Benelli M4 11707 while making it 922r compliant. I'm wanting to get the 7 round tube and the collapsible stock. I'm aware of FFT and TTI as well as Carrier Comp. I've heard good things about the ladder and went ahead and ordered a full length titanium magazine tube from them. Since it comes with a follower, that would make 2 US parts and, based on my understanding, I would need 2 more parts replaced to have both the full length tube and collapsible stock. What other parts are worth replacing and by which manufacturer? I am also interested in getting the TTI extended carrier, the TTI oversized safety, the GG&G bolt release pad, and the GG&G charging handle: TTI Carrier: https://tarantacticalinnovations.com/tti-benelli-accuguide-extended-carrier/ TTI Safety: https://tarantacticalinnovations.com/tti-oversized-benelli-ultimate-safety/ GG&G Pad: https://www.gggaz.com/benelli-m4-tactical-bolt-release-pad.html GG&G Handle: https://www.gggaz.com/benelli-m4-tactical-charging-handle.html Are these parts worth it? Any additional information and advice would be greatly appreciated.
5. I have my M4 setup how I want it and I don't need these extra parts. I took the recoil pad off of my collapsible stock and replaced it with a LimbSaver recoil pad, so I don't need the original pad. I thought I would use this Briley Trigger Shoe, but I don't like it. Ideally, I would like to sell all of this at once and ship it out in just one box. Fingers crossed. Trigger Guard: $140 Pistol Grip Stock Black Synthetic: $130 5 Round Magazine Tube with 5 Round Spring: $105 Shell Stop/Bolt Release Button: $40 Shell Carrier: $35 Right and Left Forearms: $30 each Safety Button: $20 Sling Attachment Plate and Retainer: $15 Follower: $15 Shell Stop Pin: $5 Cartridge Latch Spring: $5 Collapsible Stock Recoil Pad: $25 Briley Trigger Shoe for Benelli and Franchi Black: $20
6. Hello all, I am ready to add some features to my stock M4 (11707), that will also comply with 922®. I use it for 3 gun every now and then, which allows up to 8 shells before the bell, so the 7+1 is valuable to me. In addition, I just feel that my M4 is not quite complete w/out the C-stock... These are the two routes that I am considering: OPTION 1 FFT full-length mag tube in s/s $159.99 FFT trigger package (hammer, trigger, disconnector) $149.99 Benelli C-stock $350 or so... This package includes the 4 922® compliance parts needed. TOTAL COST $660 or so OPTION 2 FFT full-length mag tube in s/s $159.99 FFT follower $24.99 ProMag C-stock(pic looks like a copy of the Benelli c-stock) $180 This package includes the 3 922® compliance parts needed. TOTAL COST $365 I know that the titanium tube weights about 150g less, but the s/s weights less than the stock tube and costs $80 less, so I'm okay with that. All I really want to add is the full-size mag tube and the C-stock the other items are just being added to fulfill the 922® laws. I would love to hear some feedback from those of you who have had experience with these parts or manufacturers. Which route should I go? Are these wise options or do you know of better ones? Thanks in advance for your input!
7. I've saved up some money and I'm looking to get my first gun: a Benelli M4. As I've been reading up on it, I've gotten confused as there seems to be different models of it, some don't have interchangeable chokes, etc. At the very least, I know I want a pistol grip, the collapsible stock, and the 7 round magazine tube, but I've read that other parts should be replaced as well. Would anyone be willing to give me a simple 101 on the Benelli M4? What parts can and should be replaced, where to purchase one, and what other things should I know? I'm already aware of the benelliparts.com site, r/gundeals, and the Taran Tactical version.
8. Hello, Does any one know of a low -profile sight replacement for the ghost ring? I use my M4 for sporting clays from time to time ( I know, it’s not remotely made for this type of soothing) but it is fun challenge regardless. the rear ghost sight makes it nearly impossible to track the clays mainly because the ghost sight protective vertical wings. i was thinking of removing the rear sight altogether but a low profile replacement would be ideal any thoughts?

11. Hello and got my first shot gun (m4). Go big or go home. Still learning about the weapon (am a Former Marine, so shooting isn't new) but looking to breaking it in and just general cheap /decent ammo to shoot . I will maintain good home defense ammo and will train with it at some point in the near future. Trying to Google/you tube info from experienced shooters. Any advice on decent ammo to break this in and not kill the wallet to badly? thank you in advance.
12. I found myself in need of a magazine plug for my m4 with Kip's FL mag (hunting migratory birds, mag must be limited to 2 rounds). I searched the internet, and even ordered one of those Butler Creek plugs, but it seems nothing out there is long enough (12 inches). In the end, I made my own, and thought I'd share the process in case there are others who are interested. Parts: 1) Brass tube, 13/32" (10.32mm) OD with 3/8" (9.53mm) ID by 12in. 2) Tree nut, metric thread, 9.60mm OD with 22.2mm diameter cap. 3) Wood dowel (screw type), 3/8" OD. Process: 1) Polish tube with metal polish for aesthetics. 2) Insert tree nut and hammer flush (interference fit). 3) Insert dowel and hammer in to tube to desired length. Finished product: To fit plug, simply remove the magazine cap and insert through hole in mag spring retention clip and reinstall magazine cap. The OD of the tree-nut is about 0.8mm smaller than the ID of the magazine tube. The pressure of the magazine cap centers the plug and keeps it snug in the tube (rattle-free). No tools required for installation/ removal. See following thread for pics of installation (can't seem to post more than 5 pix per thread.)
