  1. I wouldn’t trade for Esstac. In fact, I just bought three more Aridus shell holders. It’s just that the bracket could be more streamlined in design.
  2. I have the Aridus setup on my 1301 and I do like it, except for one design quirk. When the shell carrier is removed, you are left with an inch and a half long bracket sticking out the side of the receiver. I would like to see an update that allows for attaching the shell carrier to a bracket that is completely flush to the receiver.
  3. If you want the Benelli, save yourself a lot of cash and trouble and find the LE versions. They are out there and, while a couple hundred more in price, it’s still cheaper than sourcing the parts yourself. Plus it’s factory built and has night sights and a railed handguard as part of the package. The collapsible 5 position stock on the updated LE models is superior to the older 3 position model.
  4. Did you buy it used? Because mine came with a little bag containing three rails and screws in the factory box. $500 for the factory guard and two rails. When you toss in that, the 5 position stock, the oversized bolt release, tritium ghost ring sights, and a few other upgrades included, the 11732 is a deal for an M4 that costs only a couple hundred dollars more than the standard M4.

    M1014 Ammo

Slugs are no problem. They can lead, however, after 50 rounds or so. Get some 100% copper wool Chore Boy kitchen pads, wrap some around a bore brush, and scrub to remove it. My local ranges only allow slugs. Any quality ammo will work in a Benelli.
  6. I’ve settled on what for me is the best light option. Inforce WML with IR and Strobe functions. It’s lightweight and blends into the Benelli railed hand guard. Nothing wrong with the Streamlight or Surefire options, but this seemed more useful for me, especially since I do have a PVS-14 setup to take advantage of the IR feature. I’ve been using the same tactical light on a FN PS90 for a few years with good results.
  7. I like what you have there. It’s different than the majority of M4s. However, the only sensible solution is to get a black M4 and keep the H2O as well.
  8. Added a Streamlight TLR-1 with remote switch…
