  1. Since you’re an aficionado for Benelli, do you believe the comfort is worth the switch? I have the key parts to do the conversion. The extension tube should be the same mm type from my research. I also assume the spacer/drop/comb plates are the same. Again, both late model builds.
  2. Thank you for the post. Yes, an indicator if it is an m2 or M1 is the “ear” on the extension of an m2 or the “ring” to prevent over/under insertion. Therein likes the problem determine the two if photos (of which I’ve ran across) do not show a closeup of the extension/barrel joint. Nor will they rotate the barrel to a degree where you can determine if it’s an m1 or m2 extension. I’ll be honest, I just received an m2 barrel that was marketed as an m1. Talk about luck! I spent other monies in prep for the arrival with no use…. I can with surety recall seeing a blued extension. The premise is that if the extension is blued, the rest of the barrel is as well. Regarding snapping up M1 for M2…..all I can say is be on the lookout. If you need it, keep looking daily. Yeah, parts are drying up. No longer are parts kits sub 250 or near….all thanks to a recent news article. If anyone wants to trade for mint factory Benelli S Nova parts, let me know. I may also have either a mint m2 comfort or late model standard straight that is dimensionally identical (cage and all). Depends on what route I want to go down.
  3. If it’s dented, you’ll need a swage to push it you. Pretty common for shotguns to push dents out on tube. if it is the threads, a chaser is needed. It won’t be perfect, but the nut has plenty of thread to maintain the minimal needed retention. It’s not a high, nor even moderately stressed part. machine shop will be your best pal to find the above tools needed
  4. Thanks for the post. I originally posted out of curiosity because I was going to settle for an m1 barrel. I also may have gotten confused by other’s “for sale ads” not correctly identifying the barrel-to-receiver type. Some blued others chrome. Pictures help from more than 1 angle….
  5. I found one. A deal and the condition is 99% or better. M2 that is
  6. When did Chrome Lined appear in the M1 line? We know there are many barrels of the M1 to include the extension that are blued. Any help appreciated.
  7. Call Benelli directly and they’ll put you on a list for that and other parts. When they pop up, you’ll get notified. You may even be able to place a back order if your order 2 or more. otherwise, numrich or the like parts dealers might have them or can backorder
  8. Only way is a needle nose with crosshatch grip face to bite the head. Your screw is trash and your buttpad will be opened up a bit, but can be smoothed at the face for appearances.
  9. I would be stunned if Taran makes a carrier for the m3. Again, little to no interest. This is coming from experience in the industry regarding “scaling.”
  10. Thanks. That’s too easy though.
  11. Hello all, New here, but not from other forums you may frequent….. I am looking for a 24” Rib M2 barrel in non camp finishes. Looking for a mint or similar. I do have a mint Super N in 26” and a like new sight in only 24” M2 Rifled….
  12. In all fairness, the pool of M3 owners who want to upgrade is slim. You probably are the only person to ever consider or make contact with taran. As for the M4, the usage does not dictate a carrier upgrade. Case of usages… Hence, Taran catering to the M2 which is still kicking tail to this very day.
  13. This is nothing new and unfortunately has been going on since the days of forums and chat rooms on MSN Games….. You did what is right and should be a model for those in similar situations. I subscribe to the saying, “Buy the Seller.” If you can’t get honest and diligent answers, you walk. Doesn’t matter how bad the deal will sting if you pass up.
  14. Taran and Co are pretty good at answering questions. Give them a shout.
