SBEII Drop Plate Block, HELP!!

I need help identifying what a drop plate block is! Unfortunately, the website does not give me any information regarding this "block". Any information/link will be greatly appreciatted. Thank You

my spare parts manual does not show anything with that same name, it has a drop and cast shim and a locking plate and that's about it! who dreamed up a plate block? Benelli does not use that terminology on anything to do with drop/cast kits!
