icarus
Just purchased a new 12 gauge 28" M2 synthetic and am having a little trouble with a snap cap stuck in the barrel.(its a 12gauge plastic snap cap made by Traditions) I was using the carrier drop lever to bring a mixture of weighted dummy shells and plastic see-thru dummy shells out of the mag tube and subsequently extracting them out with the bolt. Everything was fine until i tried to extract the plastic see-thru ones made by Traditions. The bolt does not move at all. I tried removing the barrel but this was also unsuccessful only coming out of the receiver by 1/2inch (all that the bolt assembly allows). It appears the shell is heavily deformed around the base where the extractor is. Any ideas on how to fix this apart from the long journey to c/s? damn. should have gotten a pump. tucker301
Use a cleaning rod or other rod inserted from the muzzle end to push the shell out and force the bolt opened.
leftie
did you try pilling the pin in your bolt and pulling the whole thing out the barrel hole, or is it stuck bellow the bolt if so you could take your trigger assembly pin out and remove the trigger and elevator .
