SEHFL97
Hi all. I am new to this forum having recently purchased an M2 tactical. So I am a newbie so please bare with me. I have read through most of the threads/posts and checked the internet and even called Benelli directly and need more information. I want to install a picatinny rail on my M2 but I have to get the small inserts (plugs?) out of the top before I can mount the rail...of course. I would rather do it myself than pay someone to do it. There seems to be two ways to do this. The first way is to disassemble the trigger mechanism. The altenative way is to simply retract the bolt and using some type of tool to push the plugs out from the inside. I have not tried either yet and I am a little uncomfortable with the possibility of damaging my new weapon. Any suggestions from someone that's done this using either method? Thanks in advance. Redarrow
Just follow the instructions in your manual. Its really a piece of cake to dis assemble and put back together.
Creeper
You will need to pull the trigger group to get to the last two plastic plugs nearest the rear sight. Just use a small, adequately long philips screwdriver, or a punch if you have one. Mesa Tactical makes a 1913 rail, or 1913 rail/shell carrier that will bolt right on.
