Tim Neitzke
Hello everyone! I'm new here and new to Benelli in general. It's my understanding that Benelli has used 2 diff choke systems. What are the diff between them and how do you tell them apart. Just wanted to know so I don't get the wrong style if I'm buying or tradeing chokes. Thanks....The new guy. agm65ccip
Well as far as I can tell there are Crio, Crio Plus, and standard chokes. I think most current production guns (see chart at http://www.benelliusa.com/parts_and_accessories/choke_tubes.php) are Crio Plus models, while older models of certain sporting guns use crio, and older models of others and the M4 use the standard choke set. The biggest difference is that the crio plus chokes are a little longer and if you look at the pictures you can see that the threads start a ways down the choke whereas the standard variety have threads starting right at the top. You can also look at http://www.choketube.com/CarlsonsInterchange.pdf to see what I mean.
