ERdept
I took to the previously submitted idea of chopping the stock, filling it with Marine Tex and puttin on a new pad. This is a work in progress, so it's rough now. The white styrofoam are dams I cut to contain the Marine Tex putty. Next step is to sand down to a half inch ahead of the bolt. mickey d
How did your project turn out? How many inches of pull did you remove?
SgtCathy
What is the total length of pull (LOP) you're going to finish with? I'm not familiar with Marine Tex Putty so I'm curious as to the finished texture and weight. Will it remain a soft gel or solidify? Is your finished recoil pad going to be a soft type or hard butt plate?
