entdr
I am new to shotgunning. Looking for your suggestion for a shotgun. I am 43, 145lbs, 5'11" and plan to shoot sporting clays most of the time, pheasants or other birds 2 or 3 times/year.
tucker301
Assuming you're talking about a semi-auto, because you're in the Benelli forum. Are you going to be shooting light trap loads? Benelli sporting arms use the Inertia (recoil operated) system, and they require certain minimums for proper functioning. Some trap shooters have problems understanding that they may not cycle properly with their light loads, even after break-in. Are you looking for a 12 ga. or a 20 ga.? Nevada SuperSport
Just get a SuperSport, Sport II or a Cordoba. They only have 3 in. chambers but will cycle 1 oz. loads at 1200 fps with no problems. Mine will do the same for 7/8 oz. loads in the 12 ga. If you get a 3 1/2 in. chamber you may have problems with any 2 3/4 inch shells.
