What kind of ammunition should I buy for my M4

Thanks for the information , I now have more know on where to buy Ammo hopefully they get more thanks again!

 

 

Ask them when they'll get more ammo. They won't give you a specific day, but they've said to me, something to the effect, check back in two weeks, we'll get .223, or 12ga, or 9mm, etc.

 

Then when that week arrives, I go there every day to "shop" and then pounce.

The US Military grade buckshot is back on Gunbroker in 250-round cases for about a buck per round. I've shot about a hundred through an M4 with no problems. I have read it's 3.63 dram eq and I think 1425 fps. It feels full-power.

I've been using the same, Winchester Military 00 buck. I have also used Wolf 2 3/4" 00 buck, but it's 1/8" longer than other standard load lengths, making it impossible to get a full magazine loaded in the M4.

I believe you can get them on line. I purchased these at Cabela's last year.

 

I also shoot rifled slugs at the range, as that's all they allow.
