Lazy Engineer Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 How often do you clean your Benelli? It's been about 200 rounds since I've done mine last, and I had a misfire today. Considering it was cheap Federal $2.98/box ammo, I'm suspicious of the ammo more that the gun, but I can't help but wonder if the gun could have gotten dirty too - resulting in a light primer strike. EODtech Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I would suspect the ammo more. I have shot my M1/M3's at several shotgun schools over the years. I went throught several hundred rounds over 3 or 4 days with out cleaning between days and had no malfunctions. I did however conduct a intense cleaning procedure at the conclusion of the courses. Remember to use lots of your favorite lube... Quote
Chessie Dog Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 I would suspect the Federal ammo. It always seems to gunk up my gun and has a tendancy to blow powder back in my face too. After 200 rounds, I'd say is probably time to clean it even without the cheap ammo. Quote
