M4Super90 Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 New guy here, first post. I bought an M4 a couple of weeks ago, it has the collapsible stock. Before I get berated for legalities, I'm in Canada. I've done some searches on this site, but can't find an answer to this one: The stock on my M4 has 4 positions, which all lock in place. 1.fully collapsed 2.mid position 3. locks butt pad at 45' angle 4. fully extended I can't find any info on position 3. One fellow in another forum said it is for looking around door frames, which sounds like it makes sense. True? The manual says 2 position stock, and I know that's wrong. Thanks for any info. Awesome gun,BTW. Quote
yallknowho Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 It's not really a position you're supposed to run the shotgun in. It facilitates removal and installation. Quote
xamoel Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 to be precise, it's the only way of removing it. Quote
M4Super90 Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 I see, thanks It does work for that purpose though Quote
