Re-Anodize vs. Robar Roguard?

I am considering refinishing my M4 receiver and weighing the options.

 

The options are re-anodized or Robar's Roguard coating.If you were me, would you have it reanodized or go with Robar?

I was leaning towards Robar as they do a lot of Benelli work. Their flagship product NP3 (H2O) is pretty cool. I don't want a shiny matte finish though.

 

I heard Cerakote is better than Duracoat.

I called Benelli about re-anodizing and they suggested ALUMA-HYDE, a rattle can paint.

I like anodizing best. What happened to yours? Either anodizing or Cerakote would require a processor with an FFL. I'd be interested in hearing where you send it in the latter case, since I have a 22lr bolt gun receiver I want Cerakoted.

I got my M4 third-hand. The second owner did not know what the first owner did. What I do know is that they did not treat it like a $1500 investment.

 

The receiver has seen better days; it looks like it slid around in the bed of a truck for the last two years. The receiver is a mess and ugly. Yeah it is a functional weapon but I would like to have it look better.
