You could use the railed version to mount a laser - HOWEVER the issue you would have is keeping the laser's zero after removing the mount assembly for cleaning the shotgun. These will protect your finish and stop movement dead. We didn't have them back when this was originally purchased and are free for the asking for previous purchasers.
