mnduckhunter
Just joined the forum. I just bought a used left hand, super 90 montefeltro. Finally got a gun that I don't have to worry about powder in the eyes. I have a stupid newbie question. How do you know if there is a shell limiter (plug) in the magazine? I can only fit 2, 3 inch shells in the magazine. How can I take it out if possible? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't some Benelli's come with magizines that only hold 2 shells? I also have a Stoeger M2000. I like how the chokes and recoil pad fits both guns. Thanks for the help.
paladinjme
The Montefeltro is 4+1...sounds like yours has the limiter installed. If you unscrew the forend cap, the plug should be removable from under there..
benelliwerkes
The Montefeltro (M1) does not use a magazine retaining cap like many other Benelli's. You have to remove the magazine tube from the receiver to liberate the magazine follower, magazine spring and any magazine limiter ("plug") that is installed. paladinjme
I see, from this previous post of yours Bwerkes...that's not exactly the most convenient arrangement, is it...unlike the SBE and others. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-25540.html
