TurkeyKrazy
I wonder if any of you guys can tell what Heavy dove load performs well in a Nova. I was dove hunting the other day and missed a lot of birds. I had the factory choke in the gun. After I missed several easy shots, I sat a plastic drink bottle on a hay bail. I shot bottle from 25yards and 3!!! pellets hit the bottle.
tucker301
THE factory choke? The Nova ships with three chokes. Use full or modified on doves, shooting 7-1/2's or 8's. You shouldn't need a heavy load for doves unless they're always way out there. Ditto for quail, but with no tighter than modified. Use IC if they're holding well. Also make sure you're sighting the gun correctly and that it's patterning well. TurkeyKrazy
Thanks for the reply. I just found out that cheap shells from Wal-mart was the problem. I bought some Rem Shur Shot loads and now it is ok. Saturday is the last day of our dove season, then it will almost be TURKEY SEASON
