Will a M1 Super 90 pistol grip stock fit the M2/SBE II?

Hello,

 

Searching this forum, I haven't found a definative answer to the question: Will a M1 Super 90 pistol grip stock (part # 80046P) fit the newer M2 and SBE II models WITHOUT modification? I realize based on part numbers the answer is no, but has anyone actually tried it??

no, I tried it last year and I believe the trigger guard prevented 'em from fitting properly
