Crazy Coot Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 I’m potentially getting ready to be in the market for a new shotgun. The primary use will be for waterfowl and I always use 3” shells and have no need for 3.5”. I’ve shouldered both the SBE3 and the M2 and both fit me extremely well. Is there any need to spend the extra $ to get an SBE3 if I don’t plan on using 3.5” shells? I’ve also read that the SBE3 are patterning high for most people. Is this the same with the M2 also? Any input would be much appreciated. Quote
Steve Rose Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 If the M2 is available in the configuration you want (and 3.5” shells is not part of your list) then there is no good reason to go for the SBE3. The SBE3 does pattern high, the M2 shoots a more traditional pattern right down the rib 1 Quote
