TNguy19 Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Looking to get my first Benelli but hung up on what the real life difference (not looking to hear one shotgun weighs .3 lbs less than the other) is between the Ethos and SBE 3? I plan on using it for clay and the occasional duck hunt. Thank you Quote
remarkable Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 The Ethos was designed and marketed as a upland/sporting shotgun. The SBE 3 has a long history of being the premier and target market waterfowl shotgun. The SBE 3 does shoot 3.5" shells, the Ethos does not. Both have the newest Benelli rotating easy bolt and updated carrier latch. The new style latch should enhance loading and increase the carrier latch durability. The Ethos will cycle 7/8 oz loads and has the progressive comfort recoil reduction, the SBE has the improved Comfortech 3 with Combtech cheek pad. I have a robust selection of SBE 3's including the SBE 3 Performance Shop Edition, and a promotion coming very soon. Mark Quote
Crow35 Posted January 18, 2025 Posted January 18, 2025 Late to the post.. Other variances.. SBE3 has a pistol grip, raised steel rib, flush and extended chokes, 3” version that I have has no mid bead (may or may not matter to most) Ethos field has standard grip (if that is a thing), non raised carbon rib, flush chokes, mid bead, pleasant to look at and carry on the field. bambihunter Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 What gauge are you considering? I have been looking at adding a 28 gauge and one big difference between the two is Ethos is a 4+1 capacity whereas SBE shows to be 2+1 capacity. Quote
