I recently purchased an M2 with a synthetic stock.  I am upgrading to a wooden stock and just got the stock and forend from MGW.  The wood stock does not have any internal hardware.   Can someone clue me in as to what I need?  I am assuming there is an internal plate that the bolt for the recoil tube goes through to secure the stock.  Hoping someone has done this and can point me in the right direction.    Thanks, Chris

Mark,

This was the stock I purchased along with the matching foregrip.  It states that it is for the M2.   https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/83106

I will get a picture of the inside of the wood stock.

Looking at the diagram at MGW, https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/61116  looks like the part I need, but I am still not certain I understand how it all holds together.

I have been playing with my M4 and understand how that stock attaches to the recoil spring tube, but that is a captured "bolt" attached to the stock.     I would assume that the wood stock goes together in a similar manner, but the bolt is not "captured" by the stock.

Thanks,

Chris

Benelli Recoil Spring Tube Plug. This tube plug attaches to the end of the recoil spring tube and retains the follower and action spring inside the tube of your 12/20 gauge shotgun. This plug fits Benelli M1, M2, M3, SBE, SBE II, Sport II, Supernova, Ultra Light & Montefeltro shotgun models. The plug also combines with the stock bolt washer and nut retains the stock to the shotgun. This plug is made to the same high standards in craftsmanship and materials as you would find in any other Benelli firearm part. This is a great replacement for a worn or damaged part, or have this as a spare to keep your Benelli shotgun in top operating condition.

This looks like it threads into the recoil tube, then takes a plate and a nut to keep everything together?

Seems like there are some options....

Hi - I know it's been a while, but did you ever figure out if everything worked out well with the parts you got for the wood stock?
