J Kenny latch

I’m no expert, but something doesn’t look right with this new JKenny latch I bought. Before I go and install it you can clearly see it has no hook on one end. 
 

Any one see a problem with this. Without a hook on the opposite end of the button, what to stop a shell from double feeding? Your thoughts!

Mine works. You will need to open up the size of the hole in your receiver where the button shaft goes through.
