Best shell choke combo for whitetail

Hey all, was hoping to do some deer hunting with my M4. Was wondering what is some of y’alls preferred shell/ choke set up.

There is so right answer to that, since one gun/choke/shell combo may shoot well in one gun but not another. Also what shells you're using really changes the answer.

Simple answer would be buy a Carlson's rifled choke and see what shoots best with it.

I can't answer on the BEST, but I've bagged several deer and even more steel targets with the Remington Low Recoil (1200 fps) 1oz slugs and an IC choke using my M2. I can say that combo was good enough for the task at hand.
