  1. Hehehe... I was starting to post that I had, then I went to look for pictures. Found the last photos I took for a sale listing, and.... no stippling! WTF? I know I did it! Then I remembered I'd done one of my M2s. The SuperNova I'd cut grip tape for the relief areas. But removed them for the sale.
  2. Other than the smart ass sounding answer of Stop shooting Kent, no. Partial squib or stuck wad (which is sort of the same thing I suppose). Were your gun not camo I'd suggest buying a Huglu barrel from Carlson's, but obviously it won't match. Buying a new replacement camo barrel may not make sense money wise, compared to the cost of the whole gun. Used barrels show up on Ebay and Gunbroker all the time, but generally not camo ones.

    When to Rebuild

This is the standard line in the gun world. Repeated often. But take and use this information sparingly. It may very well apply to some types of springs of a certain level of quality, but people read it and take it as gospel about all of them. From my line of work, I've learned it's far from true.
  4. Did you try it without the +2? With the magazine cap off, and the spring just stuck in the tube, how much spring sticks out? (and if you're using a +2, factor that in. I've always used Nordic's suggested method... "On semi-automatic shotguns especially, magazine spring length can be critical for proper function. We recommend that approximately 16” extends past the end of the Nordic Components Magazine Tube Extension as a starting point."
  5. Oil it. Then use the hell out of it. Scratch it all up. You won't notice the color change. If you wanted a static art display, then you didn't need a full length mag.
  6. I think they may even sell stick on comb pads that thick? You could buy a kydex comb riser, but you'd have to drill holes in your stock. Though recently I bought one with the intention of "gluing" it to a stock, with a herder silicone like adhesive, so I could remove it if need be. But once I started the idiot light went on and I realized I wouldn't be able to get the bolt out. lol https://matthewsfabrication.com/product/adjustable-kydex-cheek-rest/
  7. Wow that's a list alright. If you think you want or need all that stuff, we won't try and stop you. But you posted it for input, so I will say... Right off the bat, as others have stated, there are other brands of quality, for less money. But it you like their offering, have at it. FFT Steel No-Spin Charging Handle If you want one. Spin, no spin, don't care. I did find the factory one a little stabby for the palm of my hand. FFT Trigger Pack Upgrade + Wolff Trigger Springs Why? Unless you're chasing compliance. I put aftermarket springs in mine and ended up taking them out, a little too light with the hammer I put in it. FFT Premium Aluminum Follower Okay, but not that one. ($$) FFT Wolff Premium High Power Magazine Spring No need. FFT Steel Full-Length Magazine Tube If you want. (whomever's) FFT Oversized Bolt Release Button If you want one. TTI Benelli AccuGuide Extended Carrier IMO, not needed on the M4. I have extended ones on my M1, all my M2's and maybe even one SBE. Honestly I felt I wasted my money on the M4 one. It's not that much different. The M4 has much less "fork" and less gap. RX Benelli M4 Magazine Cap Titanium ?? If you want I guess. lol Briley 3Gun M-LOK Handguard 13" None for me thanks. (for a few reasons) A&S Enhanced Trigger Guard Have one on an M2, I wouldn't buy another. Aridus Industries Universal QD Shell Holder I hate hanging ammo on shotguns, so none for me. Black River Manufacturing Elite Collapsible Stock Carbon Fiber Another personal thing, so none for me. I hate PG shotgun stocks, so I've no use for an adjustable one. (Turkish mystery parts?) Search and read reviews before you jump.

  9. This is one of those things where the theoretical meets reality. Out running a Benelli trigger isn't particularly difficult. But other than doing mag dumps into the same spot just to see how fast you can do it, it serves no purpose. (Then you start to play the game of "go as fast as I can without going so fast it doesn't work. You work on your timing and rhythm. Sure it can be silly expensive fun a for a few minutes, next thing you know you wasted 125 rounds and didn't really learn anything. lol) "Damn, I can't do something that never actually happens!" So it's a "problem" that's not really a problem. As to the WHY, it could be that the Panzer is over gassed (and beating itself to death). So the fact that it can do something you don't need to do might not be a good thing.
  10. I bought one for an M1 or M2, light mount, not the sling combo. I didn't care for how far out it stuck and gave it away. The light/mount in that picture isn't doing it any favors, making it worse. I was using pistol type lights that snugged right up against the mount and thought it stuck out too far.
  11. If you're looking to have one lightened, there's plenty of people who can do it. Though I'm not sure why you would want to on an M4, unless it's cosmetics you're after.
  12. There's only one way to know which ones your gun will like. That's not not a smart ass answer, it's just fact. IME, the old adage "every gun is a law unto itself" really REALLY applies with shotguns-chokes-buckshot.
  13. Benelli M4 PG stock, used. Pretty good shape I'd say. $65 shipped conus.

    Texas Gunman

Just people doing "what they're supposed to do". What they've learned from the news media and internet over the last decade or two is a normal response to any issue. With the media continually making small local news stories into national news for the sake of views and advancing the agenda (example: there was one recently where they kept referring to the person as a mass shooter, even though they didn't shoot anyone at all), and repeatedly making these murderers into national celebrities, they've made it the "new norm", it's just what you do, which is what they want. Humans are simple creatures that way, "monkey see, monkey do." The media a vultures. They're despicable excuses for human beings, reveling and befitting from death and misery.
  15. I see I can't go back and edit my post. I already have a few people asking to buy it, so please, no more.
  16. Digging through parts boxes looking for 1911 springs the other night, I ran across my mount. (1913 rail version) Like now, put it on and took it off a day or two later, if someone's still looking for one. (I had a WTS odd on some forum, but now I can't remember which lol) (just checked a distributor and all the IWC products are sold out, so the internet must have gotten the news)
  17. 28" barrel was perfect. 20" shot (on the same receiver/stock shot a little high (though I don't shoot clays with it, it's for 3-gun and the like, so shooting steel closer up. Slightly bigger dot was enough to make it good). All my others are sights or chopped down rib barrels, they don't, but I don't know that they're applicable. Not something I've heard too many people complain about.
  18. The cassette tape of the electronic sight world. 8-Track Reel to reel.
  19. Sadly you have the Benelli problem. For what a barrel will cost you, you could buy a whole 'nother gun from a different company. Or be 75% of the way to another used M2. My M2 match gun, I've lost count of the many thousands of rounds through it, 98% of which has been cheap WalMart bulk Federal ammo without issue. Of the inertia guns, I've got 3 M2's (had 4), an M1 and two SBE's. Never had trouble with any light loads. even on the SBE's with their longer stroke.
  20. My opinion comes from putting my M4 with mount/light, and an M2 with the same barrel length, same mount/light on a scale. The M4 was a whole lot closer to 2lbs heavier than 1lb heavier. Yes they M4 comes in several models. But not counting the SBS (or fixed choke, removable choke, silly choke ), from the trigger forward they're exactly the same. I have ever so briefly toyed with knocking the sight off the M4 and having a vent rib added, but that would be stupid money for a gun I'm not in love with. And you can't get into a pissing contest with me, because I don't really care. Certainly nothing to win or lose, no minds to be changed, no different outcome even if they did.
  21. Man that first post, are we sure that's not a spam bot? lol Justification and/or fanboy blind devotion. The M4 certainly has them like few other firearms. (the only other gun that comes close in my mind is everyone's recent love affair with the "Staccato". STI made these 2011 pistols for years and they were scorned by "real shooters" as gamer guns and not to be taken seriously. They changed the name of the company, made them black, hung a bunch of shit all over them and now they're every Timmie's ultimate wet dream pistol.) "When going down this rabbit hole the one shotgun that kept coming up over and over was the Benelli M4. Everything about it shows it as being the most effective tool for the job." What job is that? That's the problem. It's a job that almost no one who buys them is actually doing. (and I don't mean pretend practicing to do it, "training"., LARP'ing and fantasy camp with guns.) The M4's problem is it's one trick pony. That problem's not exclusive to the M4, other than that it's only available in the one dress. (short barrel and ghost rings) Plenty of other guns come like that, but unlike the M4 they also come in other variations. The "issue" comes when people buy what they really don't need. Don't take that the wrong way, people can buy whatever they what for whatever reason the want, or no reason at all. Lord knows I have dozens of guns I sure don't "need" or use for their intended purpose) Like anything else when you try to press it into service for other tasks, yes you can make it work to some degree, but it will never work as well as the right tool. And that's what people are pointing out. The M4's "problem" is too many people buy it because they saw it in movies and video games and know it's the bestest gun ever. (It very well may be, but if it is, it's for doing things they don't do) The old saying was "Beware of the man with only one gun, he probably knows how to use it." Years ago when I worked at a large public shooting range, my mind was changed to "Beware of the man with one gun, he probably hasn't used it in a really long time." Now it might be, "Beware of the man with only one gun, he bought it because of a video game." Anyway... back around the the very first thing I wrote before adding all of the rambling nonsense above: I suppose it's all about realities. For ME, I've yet to come up with anything my M4 does better than the other models. That's ME. (other than yes it kicks a little less than my inertia guns, because it's gas and almost 2 lbs heavier than a similarly appointed M2. But that is of minor importance to me.)
  22. "Stop asking questions you may not like the answers to" seems to prevail on these types of things, be it the FED, State or local government. Gray areas and vague laws suck, but when do their clarification ever go in our favor? Almost never. Stop. And at least start using common sense, and think how they would think. (made up example: No, changing the inertia spring in your bolt isn't going to make it count as a US made bolt. Why would you even entertain the idea?) Laws should be taken in their strictest interpretation, as read by your worst enemy.
  23. I mean.. I can see why they make it (to sell things). But I can't think of why I would want it. I've hit it accidentally plenty of times as is. I don't recall ever wanting to hit it and missing it. It made me think of the bolt latch in the Supernova. While it's not the same function, it's the same place. That one I actually made smaller.
