Yes, I understand 100 is 100k. I asked what you were basing that number on. Do you have data to support? If you took 10 Surefire lights and ran 100k shots through each one and did the same with an Olight, I guarantee you more of the Olights would fail.

Special operations aren’t issued equipment, they select the equipment they want. What difference does it make what the intended use is for the people of this forum? Spec ops, LEO, or average Joe for HD, it’s still a piece of equipment that they may need to rely on in the life or death situation. It’s not simply Surefire marketing that Spec ops, etc. run their lights so they can charge more. Surefire lights have been used in war theaters for decades and I know SOF guys who run them.

Where do you plan to mount your flashlight, IWC mount or third party forend?

About two weeks ago I ended up buying a Beretta 1301 Tactical Mod 2 with a Chisel Machining Folding Stock for many reasons after researching. I used to own an M4 years ago, but sold it. I always regretted that and wanted another one, until I discovered the 1301. I decided if I went with another M4, it would cost me so much additional money to make it into what the 1301 already offered. Folding stock, QD attachment points, RMR mount, over sized charging handle, over sized bolt release, 2 forward M Lok slots, prolifter shell loading system, the blink gas system cycles faster, it almost 2lbs lighter, etc. So basically I have a Surefire Scout light mounted on the left side at the forward M Lok slot with a Valhalla Tactical ODA Tailcap button.

Buy both. You only live once.
