  1. I prefer a 7.62x51 personally, but whatever works for you.
  2. You got it. Need to be smarter than the average bear 😉
  3. Being able to capture it and repurpose it or connect a tracking device to it that then you can release back into the wild and do an old-fashioned T-Hunt or fox hunt as we call it in amateur radio. Then you can find the individuals who are controlling them. Or as I said hacking it and downloading the data that is on it or uploading a virus on it so when they connect it to their computers it will brick their system or allow you to put a back door into their network and boom you have control.

  5. Why shoot it down? Wouldn't it be better to somehow capture it and hack it?
  6. spf? What does that mean?
  7. Can you post some pics I would love to see yours. I just don't understand why Briley keeps getting forgotten.
  8. When I took mine off, I used a pair of snap ring pliers. I don't know if you can move it in different positions like you said. With the snap ring pliers, it comes right off with no problems. Hope this helps.
  9. Have you considered the Briley rail? I keep seeing people talk about the Benelli rail or the Agency and the MI, but why isnt the Briley ever added to that list? I have the 13" Briley on my M4 and it is awesome. What do you think about it?
  10. How well does it hold up to the recoil of the M4?
  11. Which version of Streamlight is that? How are you liking it? I was going to get the Green laser and light version of it but would like to get someone's experience who has had it on their M4.
  12. Awesome! Glad I could help you. That is one thing that my wife did complain about was the weight on the front end. She said it is much heavier for her, but I like that extra weight in the front, others may not. You should not have that issue with the shorter one. Post some pics once you get it in I would like to see what the 8" looks like on the M4.
  13. Ok, so that guy was right. I would always just unscrew them before I took it apart, but you don't have to. Just unscrew the cap and don't worry about taking the screws off around the forend. Once you take the cap off it will just slide off, so yes, it is a tool-less take down. It is much longer than the stock handguard, but I have the 13" Briley handguard, they do make a smaller one, and I think it is 8". It feels great, personally, I love it. I like the fact that I can wrap my thumb around the top without having to worry about touching the barrel. It is not that wide as I have average hands and I can still get a solid grip on it. My wife has tiny hands and she says she likes it set up this way over the stock handguard. I still have some more parts that I am working on getting to add to this, so it is not a complete build yet. Once I finish it I will post an updated picture.
  14. Yes, that is the right one. What is interesting in this video is that he used those washers. I think that is because of the model he has. I did not need to use those washers for it to fit tight and in place. Also, I'm not sure how he did that with his by just sliding it off like that. Give me an hour or two and I'll take mine apart and try to post photos for you. If you can just slide it off like that then I have been doing more work than I need to lol.
  15. It has 5 screws and you only need to remove three near the receiver. I agree, I didn't like the slots open around the pistons, but I have found that Rail Scales solves that problem. If you do get it and use rail scales to close the MLOKs around the piston just know that the four slots around the bottom will not fit the 4 slot rail scales you need to get the 3 slot rail scales. It will still cover them up. Other than that the Briley is awesome. I know some people don't like to have a tool to break down for field cleaning but that is not something that happens, at least never has happened for me, and if it does just carry the small wrench in your bag or pocket. If oyu have any other questions about the Briley on the M4 let me know.

    CarrierComp

I just bought one about a month or two ago and it is amazing. Perfect fit and color (DG) and comes with a new spring and follower, stamped US. I sent an email asking if I could just pay up front and I could wait, I then received a phone call a few days later and well I got lucky because they had just finished a new batch of tubes, so I only waited about a week for them to spray them and got it in the mail shortly after. The lady I spoke with was extremely nice and helpful, also the packaging of the tube was perfect and I would recommend that anyone looking for a new tube go with Carriercomp 100%
  17. Wow. I'm sorry this happened to you, I hope everyone is safe. Please keep us updated on the outcome.
  18. Have you guys considered the Briley handguard? I have it on mine and it is awesome. I was skeptical of getting it, but I just went for it and bought the 13" one, and man I'm so glad I did. Could be an option for you guys. It has about 56 M Lok slots (13" model) and what I like the most about it is that you can do a c-grip and wrap your hand around the top because the guard wraps up around the top of the barrel and you can get a good grip without ever touching the barrel, which is something I hated about the factory forend, you have to wear gloves or shoot while holding the factory forend which over long sessions started to tweak my wrist. I have about 500 rounds give or take through my M4 with this forend mounted and it is holding up great, I haven't had any issues with it. Just an option to consider.
  19. I have been running the Magpul M Lok AFG on mine and I have it attached to the Briley 13" handguard and I love it. My wife finds it a little easier to use and she gets a better purchase on the weapon especially when she shoots the heavier loads. I didn't want to put a full vert grip because I didn't want too much stuff hanging off the end and making it an overall bigger weapon, but at this point, I don't think that matters lol. Try them out and see if you like them, maybe it might help you control and manipulate the weapon better, who knows, but doesn't hurt to give it a try, and if not then each their own. If you are better without then great, whatever makes you better at getting repeated shots on target.
  20. So, I had the fixed pistol grip stock on mine when I got it and the LOP on it is well, long. I changed it out with the field stock, which I currently have on my M4 and as weird as it sounds it is a world of difference. The measurements or LOP or technically the same, but the field stock feels much much shorter. I don't know why and I'm sure there is some better explanation as to why, probably has something to do with the pistol grip itself, but it feels a lot shorter and just feels overall better. I love the field stock and will keep it on my M4 for the foreseeable future unless Magpul or some other company makes a better field stock. I have no intention of going back to the pistol grip. But others might say differently.
  21. Welcome! Always happy to get new members on here. I am not sure about the Limb saver, but I am curious if you have ever shot a Benelli M4. I ask because I don't think the limb saver is that big of a deal, now this is my opinion and others will tell me I'm crazy, but if you are a younger guy or have a large frame, I don't think you will need to worry about a limb saver, but if you are sure about getting it then go for it. I shoot quite a bit of the M4, everything from bird shot to 3" magnum and I do long shooting sessions, at least 200 rounds a week(that's a lot to me at least lol), and that is just counting shot shells and not others weapons that I shoot as well during those sessions. I have never seen the need for the limb saver because the Benelli is such a soft shooting weapon even with the heavier shells compared to the pump, but again that is my experience and everyone is different. I would say to go do some shooting and see if that is something you will want to get, again just my opinion on that. Chokes, oh the infamous chokes. I have also been doing a lot of research and testing with different chokes and ammo. This is a rather large subject, it depends a lot on the ammo you are using and what works best or patterns best for your individual M4. I have found out the hard way that not all shotguns and chokes are created the same and have lost some money on buying chokes that don't do the same as the reviewers or maybe what I thought they would do, that is my fault for having unrealistic expectations. I'm still learning about this subject so maybe some other guys could give better info this is all my opinion. The current setup I use for HD is an IC (improved cylinder) choke with Hornady Critical Defense 2 3/4. I like this combination because it keeps the shot close, but not as close as say the Federal Flite control, but it doesn't open it up like it would with a "standard" 00 shot. Again this would depend on your specific shotgun and the distance you are using. What I did was take measurements of my home, so from my bed to my bedroom door, my bedroom door to the end of the hallway, then from the bottom of the stairs to the top of the stairs, from the top of the stairs to the front door and back door. I took all those measurements and went and shot a variety of shells at those distances to see what does the best with my M4 and with a couple of different chokes (IC, M, Full). I have found that the IC with Critical Defense did the best for me and what I want. Others may have different results and you might too, you need to get out there and shoot to see what yours can do. The chokes that I like the best are Benellis chokes and Carlsons chokes. Those have worked best for me and your results may vary. I do not know about skeet shooting as I don't skeet shoot, so maybe others might be able to give you some recommendations for that. Here is a video that will give you an idea of what you can start doing and maybe change on your M4. I, like you, am new to the M4 and have been doing endless research on what to get. Just know that this video is to give you an idea of what to do, you don't have to buy the exact stuff from FFT, he does have good stuff, but there are other companies that sell these same items that are for sure cheaper or better quality and features, so do your research. There are a lot of really good guys on here that can help you along as they have helped me tremendously in this endeavor. I would say to keep searching the message boards because more likely than not your question has probably already been answered in-depth, but if you can't find the answer guys here I'm sure are always willing to help you out to find the answer. Hope this info helps you out and again welcome to the Benelli Boards, hope to hear from you soon.
