Mine is 2 inches wide by 3 inches high. I measured from the front of the handguard. This may not be exact, but that is roughly the measurement. I used an old tape measure and it is hard to line it up exactly without taking the handguard off, but this should be sufficient.

Wow. That is beautiful. Who did the work on it?

Welcome to the club. Glad to hear you ended up going with the M4 instead of some other, umm, shotguns, that people rave about. The M4 is by far the best combat shotgun a person can buy, imo at least.

To all my fellow M4 and shotgun enthusiast, I just found this video on Youtube and it is well made and interesting how they show the US history of the shotgun, starting and ending with the Benelli M4. Figure some of you might enjoy it.

So it has only been about 4 months, but I have finally got around to testing out the shells. My wife, son, and myself, went out today to shoot, since we are now finally getting nice weather and school is out. I took out about 200 rounds of various shells as well as 10 rounds of the Hexolit 32, I saved those for last. After firing off about 120 rounds for just the Benelli and about a hundred of 9mm and 10mm we decided it was time to pack up, but before we left I threw those hexolit 32s in my full choked Benelli M4 and sent them. Not a single problem. They ran great with no issues to the barrel or choke and they fed nicely with no hiccups, and were as accurate as they always are. I was hitting a 55-gallon metal drum at about 35 yards with no issues and every round hit right where I was aiming. Suffice to say, the Hexolit will be my new go-to slug. I would for sure recommend them after shooting them through a full choke with zero issues. By the way, the recoil is very soft considering what they are. Hope this info helps.

I prefer a 7.62x51 personally, but whatever works for you. -

Being able to capture it and repurpose it or connect a tracking device to it that then you can release back into the wild and do an old-fashioned T-Hunt or fox hunt as we call it in amateur radio. Then you can find the individuals who are controlling them. Or as I said hacking it and downloading the data that is on it or uploading a virus on it so when they connect it to their computers it will brick their system or allow you to put a back door into their network and boom you have control. -

Why shoot it down? Wouldn't it be better to somehow capture it and hack it? -
spf? What does that mean?

Can you post some pics I would love to see yours. I just don't understand why Briley keeps getting forgotten.
-
When I took mine off, I used a pair of snap ring pliers. I don't know if you can move it in different positions like you said. With the snap ring pliers, it comes right off with no problems. Hope this helps.

Have you considered the Briley rail? I keep seeing people talk about the Benelli rail or the Agency and the MI, but why isnt the Briley ever added to that list? I have the 13" Briley on my M4 and it is awesome. What do you think about it?
-
How well does it hold up to the recoil of the M4?
-
Which version of Streamlight is that? How are you liking it? I was going to get the Green laser and light version of it but would like to get someone's experience who has had it on their M4.

Awesome! Glad I could help you. That is one thing that my wife did complain about was the weight on the front end. She said it is much heavier for her, but I like that extra weight in the front, others may not. You should not have that issue with the shorter one. Post some pics once you get it in I would like to see what the 8" looks like on the M4.

Ok, so that guy was right. I would always just unscrew them before I took it apart, but you don't have to. Just unscrew the cap and don't worry about taking the screws off around the forend. Once you take the cap off it will just slide off, so yes, it is a tool-less take down. It is much longer than the stock handguard, but I have the 13" Briley handguard, they do make a smaller one, and I think it is 8". It feels great, personally, I love it. I like the fact that I can wrap my thumb around the top without having to worry about touching the barrel. It is not that wide as I have average hands and I can still get a solid grip on it. My wife has tiny hands and she says she likes it set up this way over the stock handguard. I still have some more parts that I am working on getting to add to this, so it is not a complete build yet. Once I finish it I will post an updated picture.

Dang that was fast lol.

Yes, that is the right one. What is interesting in this video is that he used those washers. I think that is because of the model he has. I did not need to use those washers for it to fit tight and in place. Also, I'm not sure how he did that with his by just sliding it off like that. Give me an hour or two and I'll take mine apart and try to post photos for you. If you can just slide it off like that then I have been doing more work than I need to lol.

It has 5 screws and you only need to remove three near the receiver. I agree, I didn't like the slots open around the pistons, but I have found that Rail Scales solves that problem. If you do get it and use rail scales to close the MLOKs around the piston just know that the four slots around the bottom will not fit the 4 slot rail scales you need to get the 3 slot rail scales. It will still cover them up. Other than that the Briley is awesome. I know some people don't like to have a tool to break down for field cleaning but that is not something that happens, at least never has happened for me, and if it does just carry the small wrench in your bag or pocket. If oyu have any other questions about the Briley on the M4 let me know.

I just bought one about a month or two ago and it is amazing. Perfect fit and color (DG) and comes with a new spring and follower, stamped US. I sent an email asking if I could just pay up front and I could wait, I then received a phone call a few days later and well I got lucky because they had just finished a new batch of tubes, so I only waited about a week for them to spray them and got it in the mail shortly after. The lady I spoke with was extremely nice and helpful, also the packaging of the tube was perfect and I would recommend that anyone looking for a new tube go with Carriercomp 100%
