H&K SBE Carrier Spring Plunger

I need a new one for a H&K SBE.  Anybody know if the the carrier spring plunger for the SBE2 will work?  The one I need seems to be out of stock everywhere.  I have one for a SBE2 but it doesn't look the same.  The original seems thicker and a little shorter.  Not sure if the SBE2 one will work or not.  Any place to get the one I need?

I certainly wouldn't install it if it visually doesn't look the same. I was cross referencing other Benelli models at the time to see if any others were compatible that might have a different part number but oddly, it shows the M1, some Montefeltro's, and the later M2, and Super Black Eagle 2

Everywhere I looked is out of stock too. The original correct part number should be: 739860A

Note that while looking using other methods, I saw a comment on Midway that a user used this one and it worked. It is on backorder but expected back in stock on the 2-23-25.

Thanks for the reply!  I bought the one from Midway a couple of weeks ago, it's the one that doesn't look as beefy as the original.  They had it in stock in the middle of January so I bought 2.   My original somehow got bent but I had a gunsmith straighten it so I could hunt the next day.  It's been working fine but he recommended I replace it.  Now that waterfowl is over, I thought I'd go ahead and try it but didn't want to mess anything else up in the gun.  Since you mentioned it, I read the comments on that part and now see that someone tried it and it worked.  Think I could try it or should I not?

If the straightened part doesn't show any fatigue/stress cracks I'd be tempted to run it and perhaps keep the new one as a backup while looking for the exact part number. It also may be one of those things where it was determined they didn't need to be so strong so the original won't be available new but if that is the case you might find it used on Gunbroker or eBay. If you'd like peace of mind, you can take it to a machine shop and have it "magnafluxed". It's a process they do on engine blocks and heads to detect microscopic cracks in the metal.
