Hello,

I purchased my Benelli M4 shotgun on December 21, 2015, and have fired approximately 400 rounds through it. While cleaning it today, I noticed what appears to be a hairline crack. I would appreciate your guidance on whether this is a cause for concern.

I have attached photos for reference, including one with a red arrow indicating what I believe to be a hairline crack. Additionally, I have included an exterior view of the shotgun with a reference point showing where the crack is located internally.

Please let me know your opinion.

Thanks-

If I could recommend, do not shoot it anymore unless you have to. As Franklinepress has said, call Benelli as soon as possible and get it to them. Shooting it anymore currently can cause more damage or injury. Hope this info helps.

Hard to tell from the pic. Looks like the edge of that ledge from the milling but would have it checked out rather than risk it. If it was cracked there it would be under or at least at the edge of the rear sight rather than the sloped back.
