26" or 28" Barrel

What are the pros and cons of the 26 and 28 inch barrels. Thanks for the info.

Read this article as it addresses barrel length some what. Also, if you look at the top right of your screen you will see a "search" feature. If you search on "barrel length" you'll find all the other threads where this was discussed.

 

To give you a head start, I got the feeling from the articles and the discussions that a 28" was the one that seemed most preferred for an all-around length. Upland, waterfowl, turkey, etc...

I felt that after reading the posts, that it was more personal preference than any real advantage, other than a longer sighting plain (28")and swing/follow through. I have both for my SBE and much prefer the 26" for upland/ducks and the 28" for high flying birds. Best, Robert

I read the article and it seemed to lean toard the 28 for the average shooter. The hunting for the past two years has switched to higher shots in my neck of the woods.
