M4 -Weight of factory LEO 2 piece Mag Ext vs 1 Piece OEM Steel

I know the one piece titanium magazine extensions weigh around 5 to 6 ounces.  I am curious about the weight difference between the factory LEO two piece steel tube (5 round + 2 round steel extension) and the one piece factory 7 round oem steel tube.

Thank you!

I can answer that question as the topic comes up when prospective shoppers are looking at the options .

OEM 5 rd + dummy extension  - 9.8 oz

7 rd FFT Ti tube 5.6 oz

One of my 7 rd thin wall 4130 steel tube 8.8 oz

I don't have a weight on the OEM 7 rd steel, but likely heaver that mine

after you load them all up with OO buck you will not likely notice the difference.

The LEO models have a steel extension vs the alluminum fake extension.  I'm curious how much heavier they are.

Since no one answered this, let me take a stab at it. I don't have a steel extension to weigh. The aluminum extension weighs about 2.5 oz. If the steel one is configured the same as the aluminum one, then it should weigh about 7.4 oz based on the relative density of Al vs steel.

Thanks for trying to take a stab at it, i doubt it's that heavy though.  Espessially since it's hollow.  I also thought I read somewhere that the leo m4 steel tube and extension weighed around 12 ounces total?

Seemed pretty heavy too at 7.4 oz  but remember that I said ..."If the steel one is configured the same as the aluminum one"  .So who knows ?
