ioakim Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I'm satisfied with my Vinci, but a big failure with its pad and its body. About the pad I replaced it, but I don't know what to do with its sticky, gummy plastic body. A big disappointment. I never expected this to happen to a Benelli . Quote
bambihunter Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I doubt they made the pad. I am not experienced with any Benelli that has had this issue, but I have a lot of Remington 700's from the 90's - 2000's that had Limbsaver recoil pads. In spite of all having great lives in temperature controlled safes, they did similar. Thankfully, both Remington and Limbsaver eventually started a recall program. However, they did it after most people had already done it themselves. Thankfully they are not expensive and for most guns they are easy to do. I am not recoil adverse for most calibers until you start getting up to 12 gauge 3.5" mags or .338 Lapua / .375 H&H territory so I put back harder pads that won't deteriorate. Those handful of guns that I actively shoot that do recoil harder than I care to absorb, I'll just replace the pad once every 20 - 30 years or so. Quote
