I was lucky enough to find a 12 gauge heritage edition 250th anniversary sbe3. My question to the community is this, do I hold out for it to gain value and sell it later or do limited run guns like this gain enough value to bother? Other wise I’m just going to shoot skeet with it and not hunt with it and just pass it down. It’s a very cool piece and I’d love to hold onto it but if they are gonna go up a crazy amount I’ll make that decision later to let it go.

Limited editions do appreciate sometimes, but unless they remain unfired and in pristine condition, they rarely increase enough to outweigh years of ownership and the memories that come with passing them down.

I agree completely with sigouvra78. The exception would be for something that was limited supply and then laws were also changed making even the base model hard to obtain. This happened during the 10 year AWB starting in the mid-90's. This same reason also made the M4 model 11711 very valuable. They were released to the public in a form that really shouldn't have been sold and the ATF quickly shut that down.
