MDgoosebuster
Has anyone replaced their factory beads with any of the Tru-Glo products? I am thinking of using the fat bead for the front sight, and moving the current front sight to the intermediate position if they are threaded the same. If anyone has tried this and succeeded/failed please let me know.
straitmeatkilla
I just replaced mine last night with a Hi-Viz comp sight - in green. I can remove each light tube and change them out as I please - red, orange, ivory and green. The sight is awesome. Although it is a little bigger than the original front bead, therefore POI will be a little lower - but for me it gives me 60 - 40 patterns - PERFECT!!!!!!!!! MDgoosebuster
Do you recall the thread size? My research tells me 2.6 mm. Is this right?
straitmeatkilla
I cannot say for sure - my gunsmith did it for me right after we patterned it and ahot a couple clays. I made the comment that I thought it was too small and didn't like the factory bead. He said hold on, try this. It took him about 2 minutes - maybe - to put that Hi-Viz on and I LOVE IT!!!!!!
