vikingshelmut
I found a Benelli M1 Super 90 is on sale for $799 at a gun shop. They said it is new, but I have no clue what year it is (maybe 2003?). Is this a good deal? How can one tell what year it is by looking at it? If it is indeed new, what should it all include? (Box, chokes, bag, etc). I really want a Benelli, but don't want to pay $1100 for an M2 (even though the recoil pad is sweet). Anybody have any thoughts? vikingshelmut
I should add that it is the "field" synthetic version, incase that is not clear. It is not a tactical model. I'll try to get the above info, but they are about 30 miles away from me, so I might have to wait. Still, is this a good price, or should I low ball 'em? Paul Vincent
viking..., Keep this in mind: I guarantee that if you needed to sell it back to them even the day after you had bought it that they'd low ball you.
hooftrimmer 1
I think that price is high you can buy an m2 for about $950-$1000. I just bought one for my wife last spring. And the gun I bought was lh and camo and still was under $1000.
Acevetss
Here's a link to a list that gives the codes for the year of manufacture. http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=73492
vikingshelmut
I'm thinking of buying a handgun from them as well, and using that as leverage to get a bigger discount. Are shops usually willing to deal on an older model? Seems like they would? Should I ask for $100 off or so, considering hooftrimmer 1's comments about getting an M2 for close to the same price? Thanks for all the info in advance...
