Question on M4 vs. M4LE Markings

I just put an M4 on layaway and the tag and box said 11707 but the receiver says only M4. Has standard stock with pistol grip.

 

I have a M4 that I bought about 1 year ago also its box says M4 11707 but the receiver it says M4 LE.

 

Dealer is a large Benelli dealer and said he only got 2 in after 8 months. The first went 2 weeks ago and I got the second one.

I have a new M4. The model on the weapon is marked only M4. The product code on the box is 11707. I am not aware of a model marking of M4LE.

11707LE were produced pre Sept 04 AWB. Which ment that only L.E. were allowed to have them. Now that the AWB is gone, there is no reason to put L.E. on the M4.
