I need to have my new sbe ll fitted since I'm large. I've dropped the stock the maximum with the shims provided by Benelli. Any idea where to go for a professional fitting in the Seattle area (or maybe Alaska)? Thanks!

It sounds that you have the same fitting problems I do. For that reason I bought a SBE1 this spring instead of waiting for the SBE2. SBE1's have a D shim available which gives me all the drop I need. One draw back is the SBE1 does not have the cast off option which would be sweet. I love my SBE1. Good luck and good hunting.

Alaskashooter- It should only take a few phone calls to find a reputable 'fitter' ... look at going to a few shops that specialise in the shooting sports and you should hit pay-dirt.

good luck

I take it by birddog's reply that he thinks it is possible to do some fitting on a synthetic stock. In that vane is there any after market shims for the SBE1 that would offer different fits like cast off, extra drop etc.? I notice on my SBE1 there is enough room between hole in stock and recoil spring tube to give me a little cast off if I had proper shims. I would guess that Benelli could not be responceible for any such modified gun, understandably so.

rdn- If you find the right people to do the work anything is possible - with-in certain parameters of course.

just understand it comes at a price... a man's time isn't free. ;)
