Don't forget that this is the driest time of the year in most areas. Indoor humidities can drop quite low, and this is not good for fine woods.

 

A little TLC in the form of a quality lemon oil will go a long way this time of year.

I can't tell you how many people I know here up north who have sinus problems in the winter ... whole families. When I ask them if they have a humidifier in their home or the heating system ... I get a blank stare. (means no) ANYONE I know who thereafter added moisture to their home in winter ... had their "problems" go away.
