  1. If your a good shot and hunt a lot, go with the 24 inch. You'll love it. We all have 26 inchers and our friend got a 24 inch. Man, are we envious. If your shoot a lot of trap and don't hunt, you may want a 26 inch or longer.
  2. Man, I own a Benelli SBE II and love it. My bro owns a SBE I and he loves it. ............But, if I was getting a pump it would be with out a doubt a Remington 870. (In fact, I own one in 20gauge). I've seen the Nova's and wasn't really impressed. They seem loose and bulky. However.....two of my friends have Nova's and LOVE them. So.....what can I say. I do know that everyone I know who has an 870 loves them and has had them forever. And.....there's been over 11million Remington 870 manufactured. That tells you something. Also: I wouldn't get one in CAMO. I've only heard of people saying how it chips off and has problems. I'd just get mine in black. Even then, Benelli has always had weak bluing and camoing. But at least there bluing stays on longer and doesn't cost more money.
  3. I read about it in Outdoor Life I think. Or Field & Stream. They said it's the best little Ultralight they've ever tested and love it.
  4. Can you have too many robo ducks? I guess not. Today hunted an area with a ton of hunter. Lots of birds. But the birds kept pouring into a group of guys with a pretty big spread. But they had 10 robo ducks. Everyone else out there had 1 to 3. They killed tons of birds.
  5. I have only used one, on a crippled goose that was standing about 50 yards away. My friend shot it twice with Kent Faststeel 2's. Nothing. I shot it once with 3 inch Blackcloud 2's and it fell over stone dead. I've talked to some other guy's who love it. I know at Fleet Farm, it's only $16 a box.
  6. I wouldn't use the Mojo's, because so many people have had problems with them. And as a matter of fact, strangely enough, my buddies MOJO duck had it's on/off switch break off. It's only 1 year old. We have about 6 "Lucky Duck's" between us, and those have worked great for years. Two fell in the water. One broke, but the other one, that fell in last week, still works fine. Check this link: http://www.nodakoutdoors.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44539 That should help. I don't have any bad thing to say about the Lucky Ducks. Only that I think there the best. And I would NEVER hunt without them. I use 2 myself, but we've had as many as 6 out at one time. In MN using a REMOTE is illegal. But my friend has the one that's intermittent (turns on and off by itself). That seems to work really well. Gives the look of real ducks landing. I like it. None of mine have it.
  7. I guess, I mean, the proper slug to shoot thru a rifled barrel. Whether it be a rifled slug or not.
  8. Hey everyone, Need your infinite wisdom. My step-brother is going hunting this year and is looking to borrow my slug gun. I have a Savage 110 Bolt Action Shotgun with rifled barrel. He's never really shot before, so if there is any type of LOW RECOIL deer hunting round that would be great. Since the barrel is already rifled, I don't need a rifled slug. Do you guys have any recommendations for a low recoil, non-rifled slug? Thanks in advance.
  9. I love my Benelli SBE II.............. BUT The blueing jobs on Benelli's has always been bad. Since Benelli and Beretta's are owned by the same company (right)? ...... Can't they just use their "AQUA" coating from the Beretta Extrema II on the Beneilli's? (Even call it something else, even though of course, it's the same thing.) :sniper:
  10. I put the short and long version, the short version for people who don't like reading the long version. LOL. U know how that is.
  11. I just saw this movie today. It was "loosely" based on the Stephen Hunter novel, "Point of Impact". The book "Point of Impact" is one of my favorites. It is a page turner, I couldn't wait to read it everynight. You should definitely read it if you get the chance. It took me 3 nights as a kid. I will put the points here then detail below: 1.) Great movie. (Tons of action and it's non-stop.) I hate movies that have long boring scenes in between or all the good parts are in the last 4 mins. 2.) I do not care about actors/directiors political viewpoints. (I will see a movie if I want to see it. Most of Hollywood is ANTI-GUN anyway.....so any movie you see probably has someone who is anti-gun involved in it's creation.) 3.) This is Hollywood......they make movies.....Hollywood style. Don't expect tons of accuracy. Also don't expect them to follow any book 100%. 4.) It is NOT a politcal drama. People get upset and say this movie is anti-government. It is NOT anti-government. However watches a movie and says, there trying to over-throw this current gov't or that gov't are stupid. It's a MOVIE!!!! for pete's sake. That's like saying video games cause murders. First off let me say this: THIS IS A HOLLYWOOD MOVIE.......rarely do they follow the BOOK. And rarely are they good as the book. Hopefully we all know that. Secondly, if it was exactly as the book, it'd be 4 hour movie. In the book, Bob Lee Swagger was in the Vietnam war. A far different era. Now let me say this: I thought the movie was GREAT. It had a solid plot. Good acting from everyone involved, tons of action, lots of cool weapons, a ton of explosions and fight sequences and some hot ladies. How can you not like that?????? I am also happy that there wasn't any stupid love scenes put in the movie between Mark Wahlberg and Sarah Fenn. That would have just been stupid. Like most movies where he falls in love after 2 seconds. So I'm happy they avoided that. Third: I don't really care about what the actors political view points are. They are going to get paid either way. Most of Hollywood is ANTI-GUN. So you really can't see any movie today that is not going to some how involve someone who is anti-gun. This movie is NOT ANTI-Government. That is so stupid. Why do people take so much from movies???? Like there's DEEP, DEEP MEANING in a HOLLYWOOD BLOW 'EM UP SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER????? :banghead: That's like the anger from Iran over the movie "300" saying it puts Persian's in a bad light. It's a dang movie......not a politcal statement. Grow up. Glover and the Senator are BAD GUY's who use there status as government agents to further their own agendas. It's not the whole US government as a whole anyway. Once they find out what their doing, the Attorney General tries to go after them. So there. Happy? So this is a great movie, lots of non-stop action, and tons of great weapons. Go see it. If you see the last showing of the movie before 6pm it's only $4. That's cheaper then a rental. And I will buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD. Just like the movie "300". I give it two THUMBS UP. They did use HK's in this movie. Just no Benelli's. Only shotgun was a Remington 870. Sorry.
  12. I think the recoil is mild with the SBE II and 3 1/2 inch shells. I way 108lbs and have no problem shooting 3 1/2 inch shells all year long. So you shouldn't have a problem either. I have a SBE II with Comfortech, and I think it is well worth having. My bro has the SBE I without Comfortech and it has more recoil.
  13. Where can you buy a 24" inch barrel for a Benelli SBE II???
  14. Has anyone here know about Columbia "Quad Waders"? Are they any good? Thanks
  15. Benelli Thumb happened to me too, a lot. I wish they had a lifter like the Remington 870. I did find a solution though: Keep your thumb STRAIGHT when you put a round in. And that's it. Do NOT BEND your thumb. If you BEND your thumb, it will get caught. Good luck. Tell us how it goes.
  16. Review: "Miami Vice" Just saw this movie thought you'd all like to know if it is worth seeing. 6 out of 10. The movie is fun, some great action......but the action is mostly toward the last 15 minutes of the movie. Rest of the movie has some great scenery, nice boats, and cars.....but slow. I couldn't wait for the action to start. And it was at the end. The gunplay was awesome though. Too bad there wasn't more of it. You see some HK's, M-4's, Barret .50 cal's, Benelli Shotguns get a large part. The action is sweet. There is also some interesting parts, like: 1.) Why do u need a .50 cal for 10 yard shots? 2.) Why does every .50 cal sniper have to squeeze off a shot when hit? 3.) How does a burlap sack stop someone from being seeing by a nite vision device? But the movie was fun. Probably worth seeing in theater.....but better as a rental. :sniper: [ 08-01-2006, 10:41 PM: Message edited by: usmarine ]
  17. Just so everyone knows. I am not going to buy one, and I have no interest too either. I was just wondering if anyone had. And if it flaired birds. I think stainless is ridiculous in the duck blind, you might has well use blaze orange.
  18. Ruger Stainless Over/Under Does anyone know of anyone who: 1.) Bought one of these????? 2.) Actually hunted with one???? 3.) Hunted with one in a duck/goose hunting situation???
  19. Ah, Ic. And these guys have a lot more heart, determination and aren't just about the money like so many athletes. And not to many drug problems or felonies either.
  20. I think that Gracie's age was probably a factor. I saw an old one....Gracie(27 yrs old) vs. some old Karate guy.....the guy was 51 years old.......come on now....did anyone expect that to be a fight????? And the same with Gracie....but also, Matt is tremendously strong, and I don't think Gracie has met anyone like him.....who can use not only his strength...but technique too. I think two great fights would be Hughes vs. B.J. Penn (who beat Hughes for the title and left) they have never fought since. And Hughes vs. George St. Pierre. So: 1.) Hughes vs. B.J. Penn 2.) Hughes vs. George St. Pierre But I don't think I will ever pay for a fight. $40 bucks....whew.....that's like a 1/4 tank of gas in my little car. [ 05-29-2006, 11:14 AM: Message edited by: usmarine ]
  21. What's the name of that website tucker301?
  22. Why is that sick? They train hard, work hard, and fight hard, they deserve to get paid. What's the difference between them and football or basketball players???? There still not making $40 million for 5 yrs. It takes awhile to get to the top. And when you do, you should get paid. No one wants to pay a guy who loses 20 fights in a row and doesn't win. Would you?
