  1. Hi all, My FREE Benelli Tactical Shotgun Case (MSRP $60) arrived last Thursday, after I called on Aug. 11 -- just in time for Christmas YEA! Aloha Kalikimaka, F. 8-)
  2. But why would you want to paint over a good looking piece of wood -- unless, of course, it's already dinged up pretty good? Wouldn't it just be easier to get a synthetic replacement stock and refinish the wood? JMHO, F. 8-)
  3. Thanks for the info on the fill screws, guys. But how do I get the originals out? TTFN, F. 8-)
  4. Hi all, I have a Benelli M2 Tactical and got the Mesa Tactical rail/shell holder set-up for her. What's the best way to pop out the little plastic plugs in the "drilled and tapped" holes on top of the receiver? If I just punch them out, can I get replacements if I don't choose to use the rail/holder? Inquiring minds want to know. TIA for your helpful replies, F. 8-)

    Tactical slings

Here's the same (almost) sling, but I use it with my ComforTech stock on my M2 Tactical -- you can use it on any stock that doesn't have the built-in sling clip. http://www.spectergear.com/cst_sling.htm HTH, F. 8-)

    7+1+1?

Hey garrett, Just pulled my M2 out of the safe to take a look for sure. My factory extension is about 1/8" short of the Tactical 18 1/2" barrel -- don't know why yours is long. Yup, I use the clamp -- I figure that the Benelli engineers put her there for a reason (kinda' like your appendix). Probably to stabilize the barrel/mag tube combo during firing and/or swinging, maybe? HTH, F. 8-)
  7. Hey cmshoot, I found my factory extension tube on Gunbroker.com -- didn't pay an "arm and a leg" for it either ($140 shipped, IIRC)! It was lightly used but still works great. You just have to be patient and keep looking. The 4-shot extension is the perfect length that doesn't extend past the end of the 18 1/2" barrel on the M2 Tactical. About 300 rounds thru her without a hiccup. HTH, F. 8-)

    7+1+1?

Thanks, I think. Just reading about it doesn't make it clear just yet. Time to take the dummy rounds and try it. While it may work for the M4, I'll see if it will work for the M2. BTW, took the M2 out for her maiden voyage yesterday -- what a hoot! Thanks again, F. 8-)

    7+1+1?

Hi all, Thanks to Duggan, I no longer have the "Benelli thumb." And I've mounted a factory 4 shot extension tube on my M2 Tactical so I can get seven (7) rounds into the tube and one (1) in the chamber. However, I've read (somewhere) that it's possible to get one more round in my shotgun before a stage to get a total of nine (9) rounds before the beeper goes off. Can anybody give me the loading sequence to do this, or am I just dreaming? TIA for your replies, F. 8-)
  10. Hey Duggan, What are you doing up so early (late)? Great stuff, but you gotta' sleep sometime! Many thanks, F. 8-)
  11. Hey Duggan, As always, your wise council is always appreciated. I was inserting my thumb into the mag tube (bad habit from reloading the Mossy pump too much), getting my thumb and nail hit by the lifter. Great thread and video. "Now do you see, grasshopper?" Many thanks, F. 8-)
  12. Hi all, During reload drills with my M2, I seem to get my thumb hit by the carrier as I seat rounds in the magazine tube. Is there a technique that can help avoid a "Benelli thumb" (a la Garand Thumb)? Or is there a replacement part for the carrier that will make life much nicer? Inquiring minds want to know. TIA for your help, F. 8-)
  13. Hey garrett, I had my 2006 Benelli catalog out right in front of me when I called so I could quote chapter and verse to the CS rep. Probably wouldn't mention that you got the info from a Forum, tho'. HTH, F. 8-)

    EOTECH mounts

I'm with Duggan on this one -- Larue mount for your EoTech. The swap between my AR15 and the Benelli M2 is a breeze that always holds zero. HTH, F. 8-)
  15. Hi all, Just got off the phone with Benelli Customer Service about a hard case for the M2 Tactical. Turns out they're sorry that the 2006 catalog had the hard case as a "Standard Feature" (they've eliminated the reference on the website). So, they're sending me a Tactical soft case (Part #90175) under warranty, as soon as they're available -- probably 45-60 days. The Customer Service person knew all about the discrepancy and did ask for the serial number of my new M2 Tactical. She was very polite and helpful (unlike some other Customer Service folk in the firearms industry). So, for the cost of a phone call, you get a $60 soft case for your time and effort, eventually. HTH, F. 8-)
