M4 Chokes

My M4 came with one choke. It was the one with the three little notches in the rim. So I called Benelli and they promptly sent me another choke. This one looks identical to the first one (width, hight, diameter) minus the three little notches in the rim. Does anyone know what the deal is here? Do I now have two of the same chokes?

How many notches are on the new one?

1 notch = full

2 = improved modified

3 = modified

4 = improved cylinder

5 = skeet

no notches might be extra full and plus the chokes should also state what they are on the side

zero notches. Just the four spots for the choke tool. The side reads: "Benelli by Trulock IM .700"

A dumb question.....

Does the 5 notch choke have no constriction or is there a slight constriction? Can you fire slugs out of this choke or (on the M4) do you fire slugs with no choke?

Looks like this wasnt a dumb question after all. ;)

I called Benelli and they said 4 (improved cylinder) was recommended.

Now my question is....if I use the skeet (5 notches) will this adversely affect the accuracy of the slugs?

It seems there is a recurring theme regarding choke tubes. When I bought my M4 it came only with the modified choke. After reading these posts and researching Benelli's site, I found that the M4 comes standard with the M, IC and C tubes. I have contacted them about this and am awaiting a reply. Does anying else know more about this? :confused:
