satcor
Just got my R1 Comfortech and the scope rail that came with the rifle has mounting holes that do not match the ones on the rifle. Anyone had this problem?
tucker301
No. It sounds like the dealer may have given you the wrong rail. Go back to him.

satcor
The box was sealed and the rail was inside the case. It looks like a factory miss..
tucker301
Any chance you could post a picture of the mismatch? Either way, go back to the dealer and request that they correct the problem. If they refer you to Benelli customer service, remind them that THEY are the dealer and as such, are obligated to the customer as much or more than the manufacturer. It should be they who are on hold for 15-20 minutes, not you. If they have a problem with that, they should complain to their Benelli rep. the next time they speak. tucker301
One more thought, sactor. The rail is labeled as to which end goes towards the front (muzzle) of the rifle. Are you installing it with the arrow pointing towards the muzzle?
satcor
No matter how I try to install it I can't get more than one hole to line up, it has a total of 5 mounting holes.
satcor
I have a new rail on the way as we speak. They said it was very unusual, hope the barrel is not drilled wrong....
tucker301
If convenient, try a base for a Browning BAR. 3 out of 5 should line up. If not, it is indeed drilled wrong.
