bodhisattvya
I am thinking about having my Nova sent off to MagnaPort to have the barrel ported in an effort to reduce recoil. Has anybody already done this? How do you feel like it worked as far as recoil reduction is concerned?
HOGWILD
for what it does and the price it's a toss up i would think? websites say 50% improvement but they want your 100.00 bucks and would probably tell you just about what ya wanta hear. I am sure it will help some but will void your warranty probably!
sonyman74
Well, maybe it's just me but I have 3 Super Novas and shoot everything from 2 3/4 slugs to 3 1/2 mag. for turkey and I don't have a problem with recoil. I don't know if it is because I have the Steady Grip on all three and that helps split up the recoil between my shoulder and my hand. Liberty or death Jr.
Never had a problem with recoil, I shoot everything from a 22 to a 10 gauge. Porting does nothing, my brother has a ported mossberg 835, kicks like a mule, and a lot more then my Nova. Its a heavier gun, its ported, has a bigger recoil pad on it, and its loud as ****. I wouldn't do it, so far all it does is make it louder.
