Benelli Auto for dicks sporting goods

Can anyone tell me about the quality of the Diamond Auto shotgun that is built by Benelli exclusivly for Dicks sporting goods. The sales guy says it is just a small step below the super eagle. I already have the Stoger 2000 and know there is a huge diference.

Is it a Benelli or a Franchi?

Ask the sales guy to show you the differences.

This is the first I've heard of the Dick's Golf & Tackle model.

I've looked into this gun before. It's actually a Franchi. I emailed Benelli CS and they confirmed that all manufacturing and parts are from Franchi. They said it is simply an I-12 modified to 3.5". It seemed like a nice gun, but look at the Franchi and immediately look at the SBE2 and you'll see a huge quality difference. Nicer price point than the SBE2, but there is good reason to pay more.

I thought the Diamond models were Franchi, but you never know when something new hits the shelves at Dick's.

 

Yes, the 912 does not a SBEII make.

Read through the Franchi section for information on 912's.

I haven't seen a lot of satisfied customers.

Probably a marketing thing. They get the best of both worlds. It will sell with the benelli name but they wont fix it when there is a problem, because it is not a benelli.

Google Diamond shotguns and it says Benelli and Franchi has this shotgun but i tried links but no luck but ya try www.diamondguns.com and it pulls a couple up around 450.00?
